Still no proof to substantiate the allegation that one person posts under different names Cardew? I think I first asked this question about 10 pages ago. Care to respond?

Why don't you ask keggs if he wrote those comments?

He could call Quentin a liar?

iirc when this was brought up earlier, all keggs did was say that quentin had no business quoting him - not that it wasn't true.

These days all you seem to do is ask questions, and answer none. e.g. those about the multi-named troll. Not thought to ask him - even by PM?

You are happy to quote the research of someone when it favoured UW, but when some research showed the definitive position on the low user - silence.

No matter the multi-named troll will take up cudgels on your behalf.

I was just interested to know the rules about posting info from another site without publishing the name or quoting a source.

The reason I'm not answering your question is simple, I have nothing new to add, you asked recently why I kept mentioning it if I wasn't interested, I stopped mentioning, and now you are pestering me about it, what exactly would you like from me? You don't know for sure, and neither do I, I just take people at face value, I don't believe you should accuse people without the evidence to back it up.

I am a little confused about all the research to be honest, you said yourself that UW can be reasonable for somebody with low usage, and no internet access. Also some of this research comes from a poster with a vested interest in another utility company (but doesn't declare this as the rules state you should)

I believe that UW can be a choice for some people, I find the cash back card to be very useful. I have always been honest, admitting when I changed to EDF for my energy, but keeping my phone and the cashback card with UW. I have no vested interest in the company and like to give readers my own experience and opinions, I think I may be one of the only actual customers on here, without a vested interest.

Amazingly we seem to have been drawn away from the uswitch question. I've done a few calculations and their UW figures seem nuts to me. Anyone else tried to reconcile them (I believe uswitch is the largest and most successful switching site so this is surely important?). Mind you, seems like other sites/suppliers are struggling to match their rates to actual reality. Even ethical Ebico don't seem to have factored in their new rates yet. Although me and they seem to broadly agree on the consumption that constitutes a low user.

  • I'm with UW.

I am totally confused-who do I go to for the cheapest gas and electric?

I don't trust the UW figures on uSwitch as they aren't accurate. However, my figures did include 5% VAT as I calculated the amount then multiplied it by 1.05 to get the desired amount.
But not the 10% for paying on receipt of bill? I take it that's because UW did not make this apparent on their site anywhere?
In UW's defence, I don't think comparison sites provide a correct tariff cost for UW
Which's prices matched UW's exactly, and then applied the negative 10% discount. I've had a look at Uswitch's, and you're right they don't match, even if you add on 10% to the tier price. I'm sure UW's PR department are on the case.

I'm sure a poster on here works for a rival company, do you have any idea Quentin? You usually notice and point out when poster's don't follow the rules!! :p
    D*mned if you do....
I think Milli made a point in that thread that the reason I needed to state my employer was because they were the company under question. At no point has he ever suggested that what I say is actually wrong in any way.

As to whether Milli is the latest incarnation, why not just assume that when people say this it is shorthand for"Milli has all of the same traits of these other posters who have mysteriously disappeared, including the language he uses, posting mocking pictures instead of making a point, dragging the thread of topic by mentioning about all sorts of irrelevant stuff, and rarely adding anything to the conversation."

I suspect you just might be interested if it were proven that keggs didn't write those anti-UW remarks, or the multi-named troll was innocent of any accusations levelled against him.

Or can I start writing random comments and say such a body wrote this on another web-site? Interested to know!

I'm surprised that you suggest these "random comments" are anything but from the pen of keggs.

Are you happy to have him continually come here and post about his happiness with uw for MSE's benefit when it's clearly not his true feelings?

If you really want to read his full posts from which the comments are taken I'm happy to oblige (along with more along the same lines)!

So you are going to provide the source that these comments come from, its pretty meaningless you just copying them and then pasting them in so that a less experienced member may think that they were posted on this web-site. I just think its wrong that you do this without providing a link to back up your claims.

The source of the comments is the fork tongued keggs.

They cleartly were not made on this website (but you know that).

When keggs posts on this website it is always to promote uw, and to tell us how happy he is with them.

In fact as you can see from his great disenchantment with uw he posts about elsewhere the scales have fallen from his eyes!

Why don't you think it right that "a less experienced member" here shouldn't see how cynical his popping in here every now and then to promote uw is (when he reveals his true thoughts on uw to his colleagues elsewhere)?

Would have been quicker to say "no I'm not going to provide a link!" ;)

I hope you never come and stalk me in my staffroom at work, I'm always moaning to my colleagues at work, I'm sure its something we all do.
