LadyL sorry to hear you've been having such a rotten time - I hope you're feeling a lot better now.
I hope Diva and Toots are as OK as possible also.
CyclingYorkie I hope both your DDs are feeling better by now.
Gotnodosh Don't really know what to say - not having kids, I have no idea how you must be feeling. Have a (((HUG))) anyway.
I've chipped away at the list as best I can - not all complete as yet, but it seems silly to scrub and shine the hob when I'm going to be making more mess - better to do it after dins.:o
The fridge took longer to do than the oven - mainly because it's full to the gunwales and I had to empty a shelf at a time to clean it, and I'm having to be extra careful today not to drop things as my hands are not so good today!:D
Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
Level One
Declutter and mop/vacuum floor Done (Mr LW)
Clear and wipe work surfaces Partly done (to be finished after our dins as it's got all the stuff on it for making said dins)
Level Two
Wipe units and large appliances Done
Give one small appliance a good clean! Food processor done, as it's out on the work surface today.
IF YOU ARE ABLE!.. pull out a large appliance and clean behind and under it! Not able to do this, unfortunately. However, Mr LW did have the WM out recently, so maybe that'll count?
Clean out the fridge thoroughly.. and check the drain at the back! Done
Level Three
Wipe the table, replace the cloth if needed and dust and deweb! Done
Clean doorseals, filters and deterrgent drawers (will get Mr LW to help tonight as I can't get the drawer out today – fingers playing up)
Oven and hob to be scrubbed Oven clean (hob to be done after our dins as it'll only get dirty again from making soup)
Extras- Wash the windows! Not today; I don't feel I'd be safe on the stepstool which I need to reach them.
- Empty and wash out bins! Done
- wipe over the woodwork Done
- Clean lightshades/fittings Dusted with lambswool-onna-stick. I'm not chancing the stepstool today.
ETA I've had an email - they want me to have Pip & Pandora to stay again for 3 days in August!:T:T:T:j:j:jIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Great news LW - Pip & Pandora obviously enjoyed their stay
(((hugs))) for L-L, gotnodosh and cyclingyorkie and anyone else I've forgotten...
Flights rescheduled (extra night in sofia, but beats spending it in the airport in Rome and means I fly back direct. Also means both flights during working hourswhich in turn means I have to drive to the office and get a cab from there, so less hassle than booking a local firm to do the airport transfer.
I've measured my suitcases... and am now debating whether or not to take hold baggage (I'm in business for 3 flights, economy for the last one so it would have to be hold baggage for that anyway). Maybe I just need yet another suitcase in a slightly different size/configuration0 -

TBH his mother is very twerpish (is that a word??), quite 'dipsy' & she treats him like a baby. He's the youngest of 3 boys, the older 2 are much older (early 20's - 2nd marriage)
I think she's missed a perfect opportunity to sit down with her son & give him a little bit of information. If she leaves it much longer he will really be the odd one out at school. I mean, how does he think the baby gets from mum's tum to the stork?!???
I'm just concerned that the other mum is now worried that younger children have heard her son's descriptions, when the actual boy is in the same class & his friend!
She's having a chat with her son tonight anyway so it may all come out about the 3rd child, so she will know that the mum has lied to her. And she will probably text me to let me know what has happened. This mum is very matter-of-fact...you probably couldn't meet 2 mums so completely different from each other!
Childbirth isn't 'that' graphic.. 9 is perfectly acceptable to know they come from the faff.. and relevant anatomical parts.. and I am not one of the more lieral type of parents.
Mine have had a good look at my section scar lolcyclingyorkie wrote: »Consultant is an endocrinologist who sees a few ME patients.....but he does know a lot about hormones and did extensive blood tests when he met DD1 for the first time.
Relapse 2 years ago was precipitated by bout of stomach pain like this mornings - I am talking screaming agony which lasts for 10 mins. Nobody has got to the bottom of it - 1st GP suggested 'it's your periods - you'll grow out of it!' :mad:Not useful to the daughter who was reduced from looking at Uni courses online to looking for crutches online!
Secong GP suggested ovulation pain - consultant reckons it's period related and regulating her cycle would take the pressure off her body - he reckons she'd be able to get away with 3-4 periods a year!:D
GP flatly refused - despite letter from consultant - and handed out oil of peppermint tablets which gave her the s***s! As running to the loo is more difficult with ME Sarah was NOT impressed!
So - caught between a rock and a hard place!!!
AND - I would like to know what wicked/evil act I committed in a previous life - I left DD2 looking after DD1 and went to work - where we were 3 members of staff short! I then got a phonecall - apparently DD2 had received an unexpected visit from Aunt flo and was in agony. She had a bath when I got home - and promptly went dizzy and nearly fainted!
And her first exam is tomorrow!:mad::mad::mad:
DD2 will be fine.. just no hot baths! My DD1 has RE exam tomorrow afternoon.
Would the implant maybe be better for DD1? It is less upsetting to the hormone balance and works very well on stopping AF entirely for some people.. she can have it at the family planning clinic so the gp can be bypassed. The side effects are ,uch lower as the dose is much lower.. definitely worth asking the consultant.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I HAVE CLEANED MY OVEN!!!!!
So it's not exactly sparkling clean.... but it's much more speckled and much less caked than it was before
Well done :T I think a lot of us were like that, little and often is definitely the way to goWent to Mr T this morning and noticed on their notice board two dishwashers for sale. So am now debating with myself whether to go back and get the phone numbers because my dishwasher will only get worse. But then again, with it only being me and DD2 here now, is it really worth having one? But I hate washing up by hand!!! So shall I stay strong or shall I get the numbers??? Decisions, decisions...
There are only 3 of us now but I would not be without my dishwasher, if I had not had one in the first place then it would not matter, but now that I do have one....
Hugs to LL good to see you posting again.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

:rotfl:
well slight exagerration there - but it's not uncommon. Some kids really know which buttons to press.
ETA not sure I spelled exagerration correctly there *blush*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
