I can't work those out (but then I don't have your experience in these matters lol*

DS's original due date was 9 Sept (according to my GP) and 11 sept (according to the hospital who were somewhat dismissive of my GPs date.) Plus he's a boy so I was probably ovulating about when I conceived...

Assuming ovulation was day 14 you take 2 weeks off that date for 1st day of cycle and due date is calculated from there.. so... your DS, due 11th sept - 9 months & 7 days = af arrival 4th dec so conception would be 18th december-ish...

Notso.. I think the mum is being a twerp thinking her son has no idea where babies come from.. if they had been discussing conception and intercourse then maybe she could have a point.. how old are these children BTW? If they are over 5 who cares if they know babies come out of your faff?.. they do.. so what? I hate it when people tell their children lies about natural bodily functions.. We tell our children not to lie then blatantly lie to them. It is very easy to fend off most questions with a simple basic reply they are usually satisfied with that.

Hi Piggers. The boys are 9, in year 4. Apparently he was discussing the birthing process in graphic detail & this other boy was upset at hometime (obviously managed to keep it all together for the afternoon work:cool:)

TBH his mother is very twerpish (is that a word??), quite 'dipsy' & she treats him like a baby. He's the youngest of 3 boys, the older 2 are much older (early 20's - 2nd marriage)

I think she's missed a perfect opportunity to sit down with her son & give him a little bit of information. If she leaves it much longer he will really be the odd one out at school. I mean, how does he think the baby gets from mum's tum to the stork?!???

I'm just concerned that the other mum is now worried that younger children have heard her son's descriptions, when the actual boy is in the same class & his friend!

She's having a chat with her son tonight anyway so it may all come out about the 3rd child, so she will know that the mum has lied to her. And she will probably text me to let me know what has happened. This mum is very matter-of-fact...you probably couldn't meet 2 mums so completely different from each other!

Dare I ask how the very small rooster's doing?

Ah....Lucky wasn't quite lucky enough I'm afraid. He died two days after I posted. Not too surprised, he had 3 lucky escapes and I'm not sure they have 9 lives like cats .... The boys had been warned and took it well, very matter-of-fact. We just told them that was life....

    erm...flying....just decluttered DS3 to his mates..:rotfl:
I'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSE :D so just call me Notso.....

, sorry you've had a shock but hopefully things will all work out. Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue so they will come back to you later.

That’s exactly what I am doing now. She has only been with her bf for just over six months and to be honest, I don’t particularly like him but it is her life and she has to make her own decisions. We all learn from our mistakes and hopefully she will and grow up to be a fantastic mum and woman.

Gotno.... there are so many worse things to bring into the world than a baby.. She will have a focus once baby gets here.. she isn't giving up her dreams, she is just not living up to yours.. this might be what she wanted!! Nothing you can do or say really just offer to lend a hand, ear or other body part should she need it!

I know what you are saying. It is just a bit annoying that when her father has spent thousands on a private education on her she isn’t ambitious enough to make a go of it. But then again, some people are just not academic and maybe if she had staid in her secondary school she would have been pregnant at 14.

Gotno hugs for you. Hopefully over the next few months things will calm down and you will both come to terms with the situation. Are you usually close. It must have been a huge shock for you.

Unfortunately I have had some trouble with her before, she lived with her Dad for a while until he threw her out and she came to live with me again. So not close like some mothers with their daughter. I really hope that we can sort out our differences and have a good relationship.

At least DD2 will be happy, she will be 4 when the baby comes and she loves babies!

DD1 said she is working full time now. In a chip shop but at least she has a job and hopefully can get some money together before the baby comes. Her bf is now working full time too. So maybe things are not as bad as they seem and she realises what a responsibility it is to bring a child into this world.

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Declutter and mop/vacuum floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe units and large appliances[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Give one small appliance a good clean![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]IF YOU ARE ABLE!.. pull out a large appliance and clean behind and under it! [/STRIKE]- did that on Saturday. My dishwasher is leaking (only sometimes???) so pulled it all out and cleaned behind. It's still leaking...
[STRIKE]Clean out the fridge thoroughly.. and check the drain at the back![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Wipe the table, replace the cloth if needed and dust and deweb!
Clean doorseals, filters and deterrgent drawers
Oven and hob to be scrubbed
    Extras
    1. Wash the windows!
    2. Empty and wash out bins!
    3. wipe over the woodwork
    4. Clean lightshades/fittings

Went to Mr T this morning and noticed on their notice board two dishwashers for sale. So am now debating with myself whether to go back and get the phone numbers because my dishwasher will only get worse. But then again, with it only being me and DD2 here now, is it really worth having one? But I hate washing up by hand!!! So shall I stay strong or shall I get the numbers??? Decisions, decisions...

Cycling.. It might not be best for her to be on the pill, DVT's are always a worry when inactive.. that is why they tell you to not take it if you are going in to hospital for an operation!!.. and it's the last thing she would need.. I would be concerned about the consultant wanting it TBH, is it a 'quick/cheap/easy fix' rather than looking at the real issue? It could be that it would be less of a problem if she was more active as the movement helps evacuate the body, catch 22 really.. Does the GP know DD's circumstances best or does the consultant??
    ..

Consultant is an endocrinologist who sees a few ME patients.....but he does know a lot about hormones and did extensive blood tests when he met DD1 for the first time.

Relapse 2 years ago was precipitated by bout of stomach pain like this mornings - I am talking screaming agony which lasts for 10 mins. Nobody has got to the bottom of it - 1st GP suggested 'it's your periods - you'll grow out of it!' :mad:Not useful to the daughter who was reduced from looking at Uni courses online to looking for crutches online!

Secong GP suggested ovulation pain - consultant reckons it's period related and regulating her cycle would take the pressure off her body - he reckons she'd be able to get away with 3-4 periods a year!:D

GP flatly refused - despite letter from consultant - and handed out oil of peppermint tablets which gave her the s***s! As running to the loo is more difficult with ME Sarah was NOT impressed!

So - caught between a rock and a hard place!!!

AND - I would like to know what wicked/evil act I committed in a previous life - I left DD2 looking after DD1 and went to work - where we were 3 members of staff short! I then got a phonecall - apparently DD2 had received an unexpected visit from Aunt flo and was in agony. She had a bath when I got home - and promptly went dizzy and nearly fainted!

And her first exam is tomorrow!:mad::mad::mad:

    Afternoon all,

lots of hugs& coping vibes to notso & gotnodosh. Hope you are both okay.

Just got back from dentist after having broken tooth packed & refilled. I was dreading it but apart from the initial injection it was painless. Wonderful!

    :jMONDAY ALL DONE:j
