Well i've had a prem baby and the last thing I was thinking about was a pram and moses basket, it would be months before the baby would come home and need those things apart from jinxing things that the baby would be ok!

I did wonder that and thought perhaps I should ask which hospital the mother & baby were in so I could make a donation to the Special Care Baby Unit!

It may not quite win the prize for worst spelling and punctuation, but is this the best sob story so far?
"was just wondering if anyone had a Pram moses
basket and any early baby girl Bits as a friend of mine last night had a
baby 3 and half months early and she weights just under 3lb and has
nothing for her as her partner ran off with another woman when she was 2
    months pregnent bless her."

So it would have been born at around 25 weeks. Would a baby that premature weigh as much as 3lb?

I've had mixed results on freegle, I got a lovely cot from a lady who even offered to drop it off and included some bedding which was really kind of her. I've replied to lots of offers, always politely but sadly haven't been lucky enough to get anything. I've offered clothes that no longer fit and most of the requests went along the lines of "I pik up tonite. You tell me address" or worryingly, "can you send me some pics of you modelling the outfits" which was just weird! In the end I picked the only message that was polite and the girl who picked up was lovely. I did much the same when giving away some other bits and bobs.
  • I gratefully received an almost new duvet and an old briefcase via freecycle when I was very hard up.

I don't tend to offer stuff as I'm convinced no-one will want it (mainly books, clothes).

Any electricals (even non-working) (even just wire or cables) or furniture I leave outside my front door (in corridor of tower block) finds an eager new owner usually with 30 seconds.

I do donate to charity shops but less so now as they are getting fussy. I was once asked "Is it collectable ?" when dropping off a couple of mixed bags.

I've done my fair share of 99p items on Ebay. No more as I've found that those buyers are even less likely to leave feedback than people who bought more expensive items. If they do then they are more likely to complain !!! So now I;d rather give something away than sell it for less than a fiver (4.99 because of listing fee)

I do find it shocking and depressing to read peoples unreasonable requests ( or demands) on freecycle sites and wonder why mods allow those postings.
