Has anyone got a use for old tights? Perhaps to cut up for plant ties?
Please supply a name and say when you could collect from @@@@ (most times are OK for us).
........could be a money spinner on certain category's of Ebay - if I obtained a photo of them in usage ?! :j  :j
A bank was held up today, The footage of the hold up was useless as the gunmen were all wearing old tights over their heads which they later discarded. Police are hopeful that the DNA evidence obtained from these should be sufficient to obtain a conviction thoughWins 2015:-

We've now got two different people wanting any sort of mobile air conditioning units as it is a bit too hot for them, mmm. A couple of days ago there was an urgent wanted ad and whilst I don't usually bother with them this one seemed really genuine and as I had the item and wasn't using it I emailed and offered it to them. Have not heard a thing back.
I think I'll go back to not bothering.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'll bet someone on Freecycle would love that, so they could make an insurance claim for it!0 -

So, let me get this right. They are disabled but are currently rewiring a car (something you need to get into contortionist positions to do) they want to start mountain biking, they dont leave the house but want fishing rods, cant stand up so need a camera tripod but can mow the lawns?!
To me they sound like scams.... they think people will be more willing to donate good stuff that they can then resell.
I would not be surprised if there were organised gangs doing that, something for nothing, resell on ebay.
Some will also probably be genuine, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt, though...0 -
I spoke to the moderators on mine when I had real issues with people not colelcting. She said she was aware of professional traders who sign up with a false address and just ask for everything that gets listed, and then they go round in a van and collect and car boot it all. They tried to ban them but it is so easy to provide false details. I've certainly had things collected by traders as they can't remember what they are collecting when they arrive..I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. our mods have recently starting having "give and take" stalls at local events. does what it says on the tin you can take your unwanted stuff and also pick up anything you fancy that has been donated (you don't have to give to take). I think this is a FAB way of getting rid of your stuff. Also gives a chance to talk to the mods who couldn't believe how many people don't collect whent they arrange to.
I am sure I have had at least 1 person pick something up for a car boot (as they threw it in the back of a full van). I've also gifted a couple of things to a very plesent lady (always writes why she could use the item and always collects - normally within a couple of hours). However the other day she put a 'wanted' on for "any car-boot sale bits people wanted to get rid of so she could have them for her own benefit". Needless to say she'll be getting nothing from me again.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
The only Wanted post I've replied to was a girl after a Windows 98 disc + serial etc. Since I'd kept a brand new copy in my spares draw for almost a decade (just in case!) I decided to part ways with it.
After several messages from me chasing her she grudgingly agreed to collect it then didn't show up! Twice more I arranged time for collection and she didn't turn up.
