If that's aimed at me then I can tell you that I am still annoyed at the actions of the south glos/bristol freecycle moderator. I have complained and been told that I can rejoin the group as long as I agree to abide by the rules something I said I would do right at the beginning even if I disagreed with the rules. Surprisingly enough when I pointed this out and sent the email proving it - the silence was deafening.

So to rejoin I have to make up a new email account just because some power crazed idiot in south glos got annoyed because I didn't agree with her and banned me from both South Glos and Bristol because she happened to be a mod in both.

I accept that you people are volunteers but this is absolutely no excuse for poor behaviour. Freecycle is made up and is what it is because of the people who offer our things for free and we are owed a modicum of respect and courtesy too! I feel I am owed an apology and along with that a reinstatement of my account.

Anyhow I've joined freegle and I'll offer all my stuff on there in future. Let's hope the idiot doesn't volunteer to mod there too :mad:. I also hope that if anyone else complains about this particular mod then my complaint is still on file.

No it was not aimed at you, but at the person who has harassed me to re approve them while I am extremely busy at work and working at home after they had to be removed because they caused a spam problem.

Your Freecycle mod may well have been one of the American imods who have not got a clue about locality in our UK groups too.

Overworked, understaffed, underpaid and in need of a holiday....

It's when I see unspecified requests like that that I start idly thinking about what unwanted items I have...after sorting through a chest of draw(er)s I now have to offer; a Phil Collins cassette, a pile of freshly sharpened pencils, a few curtain hooks and quite a number of half used tealights.

i am looking for various items for my pre-school setting, we would appreciate old door handles, locks, pipes, shower tray, metal detector and cam corders. many thanks in advance if you have any of these.



What kind of pre-school are they running? Or maybe "setting" is the keyword for something else.... The mind boggles. I find that request quite disturbing really.
