lol they only want the games for the xbox, ps2 and ds, it would make sense to sell the xbox ps2 and ds which i assume they must already have along with the dvds and buy their own knives and forks.0

As she needs everything including a toilet brush, and has moved to an area where she doesn't know anybody it could be that she's fled DV.
I used to work in housing & often posted for everything when someone had left with just the clothes they stood up in.
Have just read it through & seen that she also wants luxury items, so my sympathy has now gone.0 -

Problem with some of the wanted ads highlighted by you guys is that I automatically delete them all without even looking. Which means that people with a genuine "want" miss out. Charities and people who want items that would end up on landfill (boxes, scraps of fabric, old packaging for ebaying) I would think will be largely ignored. I know its probably very difficult to do but I wish that all wanted ads could go through a moderater who has the discretion to filter out unreasonable "wants". Its just giving freecycle a bad name - maybe they should consider getting rid of wants altogether.0

I had a lady request some mattress foam for girl guide trip or something, I had some from my sons mattress that we had had made to measure (was about 3 inches shorter than a regular size mattress) and as he was only little it had had very little use. I emailed her offering it to her and she said 'no thank you' as it was used?
I also had someone collect a fridge freezer I had offered and on their way out ripped a big chunk of my lino off the kitchen floor. No apology or even a thank you for the fridge freezer  Since then I still can't afford to replace it either, it's only a tiny kitchen and asked on Freecycle when someone offered some but it was offered to someone else0 -
- maybe they should consider getting rid of wants altogether.
Wants do serve a purpose.
For example if someone requests an item it may be that you have just the thing at the back of the garage that you had forgotton about or never quite got around to offering or taking to the tip...0 -
Laptop required
We are renewing our request due to being scammed on here by a guy saying that he had one for us, and requested that we pay for a courier and insurance, so we sent him the money and ended up with nothing....DUHH..lol. I need a laptop for my girlfriend, she is registered blind, she has no vision in one eye and only 4% pinhole in the other. She lost her vision through an abusive relationship and is trying to restart her life. The reason she needs a laptop is to stay in touch with friends and family 130 miles away. In all honesty we can't afford to buy one and are relying on generosity from others for a free one. The screen should be as large as possible as she can enlarge the print and scan the page.
Maybe the sob story is genuine, but a please wouldn't go amiss.0 -
WANTED: any type of working ps2 console would be amazing as ours broke and we get bored and sad without one
Oh, boo hoo. I'll go fetch my violin.
KiKi (with PMT)' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0
