Freecle / freecycle and balloons on sticks

I love this thread - only just found it but have been frustrated by Freecycle recently. There are about 20 'want' ads for every 'offered'. Today someone was requesting a handheld Dyson vac - 'but only in really good condition'.

Now where was that almost brand new Dyson that I was thinking about binning!?!?

There is here, a lot of people left and started a freeshare group when they allowed it on freecycle.

You've never seen ours then. I could start a farm with the animals that go on there most weeks.

Depends entirely on the local group. Some allow it, some don't.

This is one of the areas that Freecycle leave it up to the local group owners' discretion.

As a list owner I don't particularly like it.

WANTED: desperate for a large summer house

Right, I'll just dig up the one that I installed last year, then. Who has a large Summer house ready to get rid of?! (In fairness, she also says "a small storage shed" which may be more doable, but even so...!)

I know that we are not supposed to ask for very expensive items on
freecycle but I am hoping that someone will have an old free blackberry
to pass on that they received by upgrading their contract. I have a
memory problem and need to update notes/appointments and random lists
on a regular basis and my little phone really can't cope. If anyone has
one of these that they no longer use, I would be very grateful if I
received it.

May I suggest a pen and paper?

It is my little boys birthday at the weekend and I am hoping to have some
friends and family over to celebrate, hence I am wondering if anyone has any
garden furniture that they are upgrading etc that they are about to gift. I can
collect any time to fit in with you.
Anything at all will help chairs, table, parasol, bbq, patio heater, have always
dreamed of having a garden swing seat.

Wench - so she's organised a party for family and friends but has no means of providing it? A likely story. Sounds like she just wants free garden furniture to me. I'm becoming cynical in my almost-middle-age.

I wish I knew. It made my head hurt trying to decipher it!

On a more amusing note, another request for a Fridge Frezzer on mine today! You wait ages then 2 come along at once hehe

I've also sourced something today that should help with the most popular of requests. I don't know why everyone wants one, maybe crafting is the in thing this summer? Either way, I'm now in possession of a net book....
