my meters are outside, can I still use one?
    52% tight
  • Just in case it helps anyone, I got an email from eon today, with the following:
The overwhelming response we've had from customers signing up
to Energy Fit has taken us somewhat by surprise and we've run out
of monitors. More are on their way and the factory is stepping up
production for us, however you may have to wait up to 12 weeks to
get yours. Our suppliers are doing all they can to meet our
    demand.

We're really pleased that so many of our customers want to save
energy, but sorry that we can't send you your pack straight away.
As soon as we're ready to send your monitor, we'll text you to
let you know it's on the way.

,,,,Yes you can still use one if ur meters outside. Ive got mine and my meters outside too, you just leave the transmition box in ur meter cupboard outside and it detects the signal to the reader box in ur home. I dont have a problem with signal and its like 2 walls it goes through.
    Hope that helps?

    Hi guys,

Apologies for the delays again guys and thanks to everyone for being patient. The distribution is still going strong and people are receiving their Energy Fit packs.

With regards to the meter location to the monitor, the signal can work up to 30 metres; walls may have an impact on the distance the signal will travel, so worth bearing this in mind when placing the monitor in your home.

I got mine last week and ordered mine quite late...bonus! Although I ordered one as E.On staff and one as a customer so I don't know which one it is...although they only allow one per household so it won't be getting another...hehe.

Dead easy to setup and the software is quite good, shows you how much is being used at certain points of the day/month/quarter.

Has anyone figured out what the other screens are on the monitor? i.e. when you press up/down arrow it scrolls through Appliance 1, 2, 3 etc. and I can't seem to find anywhere that explains this?

    Hi Dannii_B,

The screens you are referring to are currently of no use. The monitor is built with the potential to measure appliances usage individually, however this function is still in development.
