I did the usual checks and they are still the cheapest for me so i will stick with them for now.
It appears that v4.1 Online tariff did not go up. Only online versions prior to April 2006 went up and by varying amounts depending on which version you were on.0 -
Hi Jem,
Thanks for that - so it appears that I didn't get a letter about prices going up because they haven't gone up for my tariff! I guess that would make sense. Won't hold my breath for it staying that way though. How did you find out they haven't gone up for online 4.1? Thanks.
Regards

And how do people know what version they are on? Mine just says online on the letters from EDF, but it would seem to be the Pre April 28th online tariff0 -
Hi Need more money,
I didn't know what exact tariff I was on as I hadn't seen it on any paperwork either until I phoned up London Energy and asked them to verify the prices I would be paying not long after I jonied them in May. It took the assistant a while to find the right prices I had been quoted and when she did she told me that it was called online tariff 4 so that's how I know. It is a bit confusing to be honest! I would phone them up and check with them what tariff it is - I just wish there was someewhere on their website that they listed all the prices for the different tariffs so we could be sure about what the prices are!
Regards

I did a new comparison with Energyhelpline, choosing London Energy as my supplier. When you choose your tariff there are various options - standard, online pre April 2006, online pre October 2005, online. Assuming you are after April 2006 the tariff quoted matched the figures you just gave so I'm assuming there is no increase.0 -

The leaflet I got when I joined gave the prices for Online tariff v3.1.0 -
Hi Jem,
The leaflet I got when I joined just said "online energy prices for london energy" and didn't mention the tariff name but I know it's online 4 and it says on it that these prices are effective from 28th April. I just tried the energyhelpline site again and found what you had found so it looks pretty certain my prices haven't gone up yet! It says that I'm on the best tariff by nearly £200 so won't be thinking of changing any time soon. Thanks again.
Regards

My online tariff was also effective 28th April 2006 and i have a letter informing me of a price increase. Either this is wrong or you just haven't got yours yet. I hope the former is true.0 -

Doesn't it depend which part of the country you are in? I think the tariffs vary quite a lot throughout the country and they may have raised prices in some areas but not others. I signed up in April but the switch didn't happen until May. Looking at the figures on the comparison web site, I seem to be on the pre 28 April online tariff. My letter gave a 10.6% rise for both gas and elec0
