Lidls have a 32 Targa LCD for £499 soon.

I think the original post was great and it has evoked a few repies. Great!!

Currys/Dixons group sell the LE40R73 for £1120. Thats two generations ahead in technology for £80 less.

Plus you can find a discount coupon and quidco to probably get £80 or so off the price I'm sure.

Probably not in the same league (though until we get the price who knows?), but Costco have got a passport deal coming up Sept 11-17th, Sony 40" LCD KDL-40U2000U - £1234 inc VAT.

Looks like it's up to £1300 now - probably because of interest from MSE members!!!

However, they do have a Panasonic 42" plasma for £900.
