Any reason for you saying the price drop on this technology?

Just noticed there have been a few price drops recently, no inside information of the next big thing honest.

Given that this 42" with dual tuner picture in picture model is still available in-store at ALDI for £999 I can't see how this 'lowly' 40" less featured model could be the same price.

The 40" is probably worth a relative £749

EDIT - Might be a bit more - the 40" also comes with a "free" tilting wall bracket (± 15°) whereas with the 42" it was a £39.60 optional extra.

I put it on this board because I thought it looking like a good deal and knowing Aldi usually comes at good price, our tech guys would tell us if its likely to be a good price and to let others know to check it out, if your not happy having it on this board, where do you suggest it should have been placed?

the 42 was PLASMA though, not LCD - I think the 999 seems about right.
  • Should this be in the "Guess the price" section?

thing is play.com did a 40in tosh for £999.99 a little while back dunno if they still do it, so to pay the same for a Samsung PANEL non branded lcd seems a bit much...
  • Agree - why a grabit it while you can - there is no price!!!! - the spec isn't brilliant contrast ratio 1,200 : 1 most new panels are now 10,000:1 !!!!
Me i'm always after a good deal.. :rotfl:
