Here are a few pointers for posting on the Grab It Board.
This board is for short-term, grab it deals only. Anything else, including general supermarket offers like bogof or 3for2, should be placed on the Shop But Dont Drop board.

I guess Samsung make the screen, but not badged as Samsung? Pity - if it was, might have got John Lewis to price match, thereby securing 5 year warranty.

Will this be covered by their money back guarantee? The reason I ask is that the 42" plasma was a great price but the TV itself suffered from blackout problems.

Plus I remember the Freeview tuner I bought a year ago which had so many bugs that most people ended up returning it. I lived with it for 7 months before finally giving in and returned it.

Aldi haven't exactly had a good time with their electronic products to date.

My prediction for a 40" LCD will be £1000 - £1100

I reckon about £850-900 because you can buy the latest S-PVA panel Samsung LCD's for just over £1000 (but they don't have dual tuners or twin HDMI ports)

by the time the price is released we will all know if its worth it because of this thread and peoples comments, usually people have to wait and then its to late to buy so I thought what the heck put it on and get the reaction, boy no wonder the new posters are so scared to post with the hounds baying!!!!
The Mods will move it to the relevant section I'm sure, shopping in Aldi today the manager told me that they have had 20 odd enquiries about the t.v and they had began to take names of interested parties.He was unsure of how many he would be allocated.
