Hi All,
Today I have/will:
* scanned in my shopping for my points
* packed up gifts for friends and family (just little things, no big occasions) and used the local post office to send most of them second class.
* packed carefully to keep a couple of items "large letter" size.
* picked up two charity shop books for the pressie box.
[STRIKE]
* looked for new sleeping bag for OH - think it will be Mr S' bag I looked at last night. Would like to use a Mr T coupon I have but Mr T's website has 2 season not 3 season bags and we camp spring to autumn so need 3 season ones
I am reminding myself that to save too much money is a false economy if OH ends up too cold.
[/STRIKE] I got the one from Mr S - they have 2 and 3 season ones mixed up together, identical fabric so I went to the till with the wrong one and had to queue up twice
* received two free Twinnings tea bags and a 20p coupon from following a link on the freebies board. We drink their fruit tea and it has gone up to £1.09 for 20 bags
so the coupon is great news. I can't get it in Costco or find anywhere cheaper than the high street for it.
* collected library book I ordered in (and read it)
* will order next book in series.
* I handed in my uni assignment yesterday - final one for my professional qual if I pass (and a ~£2k spend if I fail). I am trying therefore to plan out what I need to do in my neglected house as I'm behind on laundry, cleaning, you name it. I need to make lists of baby steps or I will get overwhelmed with what there is to do. It will take some time to get up to a decent standard again as my work is very busy so the days are long and I've several nights away this week.
I'm disappointed to see some people have free starbucks and I don't. I *love* their coffee. I have a starbucks gift card I got give and have registered, but I've not received any offers. Wonder if I've missed something?
Still need to order next library book.
Have also:
* cleaned up some beads found in a friend's shed  - he donated them to my stash as he isn't a jewellery fan
Need to be washed properly so if the weather is good I will wash them in a bucket tomorrow, as they are covered in shed ming.
* got two books in a charity shop for my pressie stash (£3.60). OH thinks I need to save one for a couple of years as it is a book for reading to children and we only have babies or teenagers in the family currently. Still, it was £3 for a hardback fancy book and my pressie stash can keep it safe for a while.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
DNM - My jaw literally dropped when I read that your daughter is not expecting. May I ask, was she lying or mistaken? I really hope this will be a turning point for you all x
ok so that's the million dollar question. I'd like to believe that she was mistaken BUT it would not surprise if it were not the case. I don't know, I guess I won't ever either she has a history of being very deceitful even in the face of overwhelming evidence the jig is up she won't admit it...
I think this will be a turning point because now I realise I can't stop the chaos she is choosing for her life but I CAN choose not to be engulfed in it. She has always known how to push it as far as she can with me and it causes me a great deal of anxiety and distress
"Be the change..."DNMS - my jaw dropped too! Had she just put on huge amounts of weight? By 20 weeks you are huge!
Yes she has put on weight and looked pregnant. But she put on weight a few years ago and did look pregnant then...DF as at 30/12/16

Best wishes DNMS.
I just realised I had done another DFW small step today, and it is one I don't see here often so I thought I would pop in and add it incase it helps others...
* I parked in the free parking side street away from the town centre, saving car parking costs whilst shopping.
I don't know how you can easily find free parking (OH and I explored when we first moved here), but I now have a couple of areas I go to and it is very rare that I can't park for free around 20 mins walk from the shops. As I live about a 1hr walk from the shops it is worth driving still

Morning everyone
Just thought I'd pop in and bump us to the front page
Haven't decided what I'm going to be doing today yet, so will post up later. Weather is wet and gloomy this morning, but should brighten up this afternoon. Hope so, so that I can get some more HC done.
See you later.
