When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :T

I seem to be up at silly o'clock today, woke up at 7.15, alarm was set for 8.15, stupid body clock lol. Busy day today, not so busy tomorrow, so I shall see what I can achieve!

Today DD has a party to go to in another town, I have a lift there, but not back :( Its £2.40 for us to get back by train, but I have budgeted for it and hopefully can get a lift back with another parent :D

So, my list:
Today I have:
  • Decluttered a coffee :D
  • Checked MSE to see if it had mysteriously disappeared overnight :rotfl:
  • Checked in with my house bunny and made sure he was happy :T
  • Checked for sunshine.......there is sunshine!!! Damn, I said if it was sunny I would try and do some fence painting lol
And I will:
  • Get organised for party and take drinks for after Done
  • Sort my lunch to take as its over lunch time, and I must stick to SW! Done
  • Check banking, PB and Amazon sales Done
  • Check list from yesterday to see what I didnt get done (I fell into a large glass of wine at 8.45 so gave up :o)
  • HC x loads! Line dry hopefully! Done
  • Send OH off to work with dinner Done
  • Do some housework Done
  • Meals from stores and stick to meal plan Done
I best get organised! Hope everyone has a fab and productive weekend, with tons of sunshine :j:j:j

:rotfl:I frightened the life out of DS3, who didn't realise I was up early. He asked me if I had work, I said no, just not enough hours in this morning :D I am now waiting for DS2 to finish unpacking the DW and then I can get in the kitchen, sort tonight's dinner, my lunch and do a quick S&S round.

Triangle - I find the words handful and westie always appear in the same sentence lol. My Dads westie is very much in charge in their house, and a biiiiig handful lol. There are lots of volunteer positions going on Westie Rehoming, they often need people to collect westies for rehoming, or maybe to do home checks etc.

    Morning everyone

It's a gorgeous day here. Not going out until later tonight but still pretty to look out at :) Looking forward to a garden one day!!

    Here's my weekend listypoos:
    • Washing is on the airer - did it last night so it's had a few extra hours to dry but I'm sure it'll still take about 3 days! I did it on quick wash at 30.
    • Painting my nails using freebie nail polish :money:
    • Got 2 parcels delivered from ebay - 1 for a pressie and 1 for the wedding
    • Check out my ebay sales and pack up any that pay
    • Catching up with the flylady madness
    • Do a meal plan of sorts for next week
    • See if I have any books to sell :A
    • Put some coins in the jar - almost £30 :) - going towards a meal out
    • Cancelled experian but will check it tomorrow before my month runs out IYSWIM
Out tonight but getting a lift there and back so that's good. Have only spent £20 on booze so far this month (+ the box of wine with the groceries but that's a different budget so doesn't count...right?! :rotfl:). Hoping not to add too much to that tonight! £20-£30 max.

    xx

    Morning Chaps!
Welcome to our new posters, stick with us! You will find you'll go off track if you don't!

Well last night we went for a night out with work, three course meal and two drinks on the house. Before we left we did a whip round for a fiver each and sent my drivers to Mr T's to buy lots of booze for the bus down there! (The company laid on transport, it wasn't a service bus, lol) So we all ate drank and got very merry. I did a fair bit of table hopping as it was all our three sites there and lots of people you don't get to see very often. Everytime I sat at a different table my sweet order got taken!!! So I ended up having two chocolate fudge cakes, one with cream, one with ice cream, a toffee sundae and lemon merangue pie! LOL head a bit fluffy this morning but nothing I can't handle....

    Anyway so today:-
    - Deliver friend's dresser to Warminster, DFW as he over paid me on fuel money
    - Lunch at said friend's house with DD
    - Check banks etc as I didn't yesterday
    - Update MSE diary with spends etc
    - Respond to non payer on ebay
    - 2x HC
    - Sort dry clean washing
    - Ironing
    - Rejig meal plan as it's been shifted around a bit

Thats it for now as the trip to warminster will take most of the day up!
    Jx:rotfl:
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
