Can someone explain what position we are in at the moment?

I was under the impression that to take payment was to complete on a contract to provide the goods?

now I get this (poor excuse for an email) :

"Dear Sir/Madam.
Unfortunately the Monsters Inc. DVD you have ordered has now sold out. We had 2000 of these in stock but were overwhelmed by the huge demand for this product and therefore we are very sorry that we cannot fulfilled your order on this occasion. Of course we have refunded all money’s paid in full.

Should I complain further? what if I cancel my card, can they still issue the refund?

p.s. note to self, next year take out the 24hr law advice benefit thru work

I placed my order late, anyone who has had theirs delivered place their order after Order Date: Sunday 30 January 2005
Order Time: 4:20pm ?

Ordered mine 7.51pm on the same day.
Received it this morning so I don't think they can be sending them out in time order.

I ordered mine 1.00pm on sunday 30th??? So what's going on there? Surely people who order first should get them first! :mad: (no offence to previous poster)

I didn't want to sound smug about receiving my order either
Can't understand why I got mine and others who ordered earlier didn't.

I ordered mine at 1.16 on the Sunday. Just had the same email - No stock!!

But when I checked the website earlier they had been despatched!!
And they have taken my money!!

Ordered mine just after you, they took my pennies and I've now received the cancellation e-mail. I may be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me that anybody who ordered more than 1 will go without (less irate customers for them to deal with).

I ordered mine later than a lot of people but I did only order 1 copy.

No, I only ordered 1. Had confirmation email, dispatched showing on tracking and now the no stock email

Quite disapointed really, was gonna be a pressie for my little lads birthday He would have been so thrilled ! We've only just gotten into DVD's !
