Hey Ames, well there is a reason she cat get a job, and its because she doesnt want one! i have already found 2 perfect ones for her and even drafted her CV for her (after she asked me to so i didnt force her) however she never got around to proof reading the CV and sending it off :s

i have also given her all the information for the daily clicks but she doesnt manage to find the time to do them either

Hmm, aren't you supposed to be a partnership? It seems like you're having to take on all the responsibility and that's not fair.

You're all bullies! :D I will phone the Dr's tomorrow if I'm still spinning. Promise.

Gonzo - Talk to your OH about how you think she feels - it might be a total misunderstanding and there's no point on dwelling on feelings of resentment, it will just do nasty things to your relationship. Have you actually done the sums on her working/childcare/drop in tax credits etc? If you can show her on paper just how much you'd be better off (if you would be) then it might make her realise the difference it could make to all of you. Remember to praise her (without being patronising) about the way she's realised that her spending was "mood" related, that's a big thing!

Yay I've just done some drum practice, and without touching a kit for two weeks I've improved from my last lesson. Some bits came off my bass drum pedal though, oops, I'll have to get my sister to look at them.

I got three free Starbucks vouchers through the post today, yay! All have to be used by the 31st, so I'll be in there quite a bit over the next couple of weeks.

I'm feeling a bit of a muppet though. Last night at the theatre they were doing their book sale and I bought a load.... got home and realised the three Racine plays are in French, ooops. Not sure whether to buy a dictionary and see if that and my GCSE French can get me through or just stick them on Amazon straight away.

Or keep them in case my pie in the sky idea of opening a second hand book shop seems viable when I see Business Link... if they get back to me with an appointment.

hey pooky well you best do otherwise i might have to find out where you live since you are not that far away and drag you there myself!

i know your right that i should at least tell her i feel as if she blaims me for us not having much money, just dont know exactly how to go about it and most of the time i dont feel like it just sometimes when i am having a downer such as today

as to her working well we have done the sums it isnt worth her going back full time as we would only end up being about £40 a month better off (at the most will be less now since petrol has gone up) but the ones i found where part time at boots and mothercare at the weekend so we wouldnt have had to worry about childcare as i would do it, but hey they have been and gone now no point dwelling on them

and to her spending, well she has always known it was mood related it just never stopped her :s she always called them her fcuk it moments

i do feel bad as i have had to 'bully' her over the last year or so to make her get rid of her credit card although i am now relieved that she has gotten rid of it, even though it has meant i have had to take the balance on in my name (3k eekk) but at least its only at 5.9% apr instead of 24.9%

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Yes, it is good to get contents insurance hun but check, double check and triple check the wording...

If the place burned down, your things inside wouldnt be covered on the landlords insurance-mind you, I suppose it depends on the amount of 'things' you own.

You could 'self insure' and just put money aside to pay for things if they get broken/detroyed etc

Elfen - yes. I don't have it, but do as I say, not as I do! It should be around 10-12 a month if it's just a one bed place and your possessions aren't worth that much.
