  • Morning everyone.

The sun is shining but it's chilly!

Kayleigh - good luck with the house viewing and the studying.

Bunny - well done on the sale. Did you get a free Indian?

Elfen - yeah on getting into a size 14 skinny jeans.

Gonzo - good luck with the job application.

Pooky - ouch and glad to hear the dizzyness isn't too bad today.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

In a grump as the ear is still hurting, got some over the counter co-codamol and have booked a DR's appointment for Friday am. I need to get better by the 25th as I'm going on holiday - BA dependant.

growl at you LMC i told you if you where still having problems with pain to PM me :P

anyways hopefully the Dr will be able to give you some info on what could clear it, is it actually a ear infection? or could it be a build up of wax or even a perferated ear drum (although this is a lot more common in children it can still happen to adults)

Fingers crossed the DR will be able to get to the bottom of it. I think it doesn't help that I've got an inner ear condition anyway. I've put in ear drops thinking it was wax and that's not done a thing.

well the ear drops only work on mild case's (no matter what they say) if you have a big blockage then it will have a lot of trouble shifting it, although i would advise to keep on doing it (using olive oil will help soften the wax although something like otex could work better they can have side effects which you should read up on) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ear_wax will also give a bit of extra info incase ear wax is the problem, of course none of this will help if its a ear infection or perferated ear drum but hey one thing at a time ;)

Olive oil helped me with my ear wax problem....it was in one ear and felt funny so I put some in (well Pint did) and it worked.

Pint's got conjunctivitis and is a bit grumpy cos of it. Gonzo, what are you doing to help you loose weight? Can you eat a little less or do a bit more exercise?
Have finally set up my spendsheet so I can update it when I need to :)

Its flipping freezing here today...when will summer arrive?

Need to make some decisions about this teaching course, don't think this course is just going to be suitable and work out. Next stop will be talking to school to see if I can do an OU one and use them as my placement...just will have to be dedicated to the cause to motivate myself

Hey Elf, well i am not 'really' on any form of weight loss plan, i have just been trying to eat more healthy and a bit less, been doing this for getting on 2 years and have dropped about 2 stone.

i think it has all come from the fact my wife started weight watchers ~3 years ago and i just started to realise how much food i was eating, this is roughly what i was eating

having 150g of ceriel in a morning
mid morning 'snack' of a 2 slice sandwich
lunch having a 4 slice sandwichs, packet of crisps and maybe a cake
a very large main meal in the evening
and maybe a couple of biscuits with a cuppa before i went to bed

i have slowly changed what i eat one thing at a time and am currently down to
    60g of cerial
no mid morning snack generally, although if someone brings in some cake to work i might have a very small slice
3 slices of bread for my sandwiches for lunch and a packet of crisps
and a large (but still smaller) main meal in the evening

what i am doing at the moment is replacing a lot of my extra's that i used to have in my main meal with veg or something a bit healthier so instead of battered onion rings i will have garlic 'dry' fried onions (one cal spray stuff)
