Hi to everyone on this

I was interviewed or more like a chat for this so called job about 3 weeks ago in liverpool Horton House.

As it was advertised on job centre plus i as you would assumed it was genuine as was the application form on line. I get to the interview and met this guy called Mark Shortland and a another bloke who i think was called Julius who i was told was the technical guy but he did not speak just sat in on the interview.

The alarm bells rang straight away as i was asked to go into the interview with someone else as they were running late which i found strange and un professional but as its for a job you dont say much at the time. There was no questions of where i would be keeping the vehicle etc. I was told that i would find out by post so obviously i was made up to recieve a letter saying the job was mine. I found it a strange way the way the letter was set as written back to him and of course the bank details for the 100 pound. Luckily i did not send that money as i was waiting till the keys were in my hand. So after sending this letter back i recieve my contract which i think on page 6 or 7 had stuff about factories so obviously he had just got it off a site. I sent this back and that is the last heard from them.

I checked and noticed the site was gone off internet and no answer when phoning but straight from the start i had a feeling something ws not right.
Unfortunatly i left work i was in too take this job and i think my position has been taken. I have reported this to the bank, the job centre and been in contact with south yorkshire police.

Hopefully something will be done about this but i dont hold my breathe probably a hundred pound fine which is someone elses and slap on the wrists.

Hi, just to add another one to the con list. I was employed in Livperool, also suposed to start on the 14th June, I went to check out the office today only to find they'd hired it for 3 weeks only and interviewed for a day, the security man at the front desk of the buillding has said they've had lots of people coming in asking about NWS, some where actually charged a £200 retainer for the car keys. I have contacted the CID number poster on here...thanks for that. I hear that Mark Shortland is involved in lots of scams, I'm hoping identiy theft isn't one of them but will contact the DVLA just incase. I too hope he gets a raw bum hole inside. It shocks me that all these jobs where advertised via job centre direct, you'd of thought they would check jobs out to see if they're valid...obviously not

Just out of interest...did he (MS) give anyone else speal about driving Janet Street Porter and about how rude she was??:p

Just an idea folks after reading this thread....

There appears to be numerous people here all wanting to do the same job - why don't you all set up a business together?! You all know each other are trustworthy and committed to the cause, you could all go for your licenses together and this time there would be something to genuinely look forward to, without anyone paying a £100 "deposit"!

Just trying to inject a bit of joy into this otherwise awful read!

I thought exactly the same about the people who have lost there jobs getting together and try make something positive about it.

I phoned that exchange flags in liverpool and they didnt have a clue who he was so there not bothered as long as they get there money.

He didnt give me any crap about janet street porter probably changes his story each time give himself a hard on the !!!!!. I got the 2 suits would be getting and that his security team was upstairs looking after the BBC which was probably a load more crap.

well I've contacted watchdog...not sure if it will help, but maybe it'll stop others getting caught in simular scams

Looks like this guy has ripped of a lot of people and caused a lot of upset in his pursuit of money .
I too had my interview at Horton House in Liverpool with Mark Shortland and someone he introduced as Julie my chat lasted about 15 minuits and after i asked a few questions it appears he had over 70 applications.I was thanked for attending and then received a letter few days later saying i had got the job as i was unemployed the prospect of a new job and a good income came as a huge relief.Week later i received my contract signed it and sent that back recorded delivery (signer name was OXLEY).Luckily i didnt hand over any money thought i'd wait till i had keys in my hand.I have contacted Regus who he seems to rent his office space off and the only comment they give is that they are not associated with NCS and that information should be passed to the police.
I feel sorry for the people who have sent money to him or even worse given up their current job to work for him.
I hope that Mark Shortland and any one involved in setting up these scams gets what they deserve i for one would love to bump into him or Julie in the street.

I was interviewed in Manchester and offered a job starting on 14th June, like so many others. Fortunately I have not handed over any money but as I am currently unemployed I was looking forward to working again. Does anybody have the contact details for the police in Manchester who are dealing with this. I also have copies of the job offer and contract if anybody wants their supposed bank details.
Now I have to go and explain this to my good lady wife and kids
