Favourite (because of the design):- Vancouver

YVR gets my vote as well :D and not just because you can get a dozen Tim Hortons just before you board your plane. The whole airport is very good and justifies the Airport Improvement Fee (which is now included in your air fare - you used to have to pay cash!)

Frankfurt is one of the worst I have experienced - try some flight disruption and see how many thousand passengers there are per toilet (and per seat for that matter)!!!

JFK has a number of terminals and some are much better than others.

Best - Stansted, only an hour up the road from me, bright, clean and modern.

    I really dislike Stanstead.

When I lived in London I hated it if the cheapest flight when from Stanstead. I was pulled aside there going through customs & SERIOUSLY patted down there & my bag was spilled out with my ladies stuff all over the place:mad:

Now I live near Gatwick I wouldn't use Stanstead even if it was cheaper.

Oh dear :o i don't think i would have been best impressed either.

Gatwick is ok, it's not my first choice but it's miles better than Luton which thinking about it should have gone on my worst list. Their new system of pay £1 to drop passengers off is an absolute joke, oh and the fact that you have to pay for the clear bags to put toiletteries in

Best: my local airport, Singapore, either of the three main terminals. I haven't tried the budget terminal yet.

Worst: Bandar Sri Begawan, the a/c there is set to freezing.

Tehran is not up there in my good books as I was arrested there for people smuggling and held for a week during which time I had a really severe case of gut rot.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

I am surprised no-one has mentioned Geneva. This really is the most civilised airport I've gone through. The large open-air lounge with sunbeds is most welcome too in the summer months.

The worst I ever went through was Bourgas (Bulgaria) but it is quite a while ago and may have improved since then!

I've used it a fair few times & they only did that once (I wondered if I looked like someone they were after:eek:). But I've never liked it, I find the building off putting - odd I know:o
