Your favourite and worst airports

Changi is ok, but i don't see what makes it so great.
Forget artwork, views etc - I judge an airport by it's efficiency and facilities. Changi may be a bit sterile in some areas - but the many times I have used it, check in, immigration etc. have been a breeze.
Less hassle - Lower Blood Pressure.
Oh yes - another one I forgot that someone has already mentioned - Paris CD. The work of the Devil for sure.0 -
Best- Koh Samui by far! So beautiful!
Worst- Corfu!!0 -
Favourite (because of the design):- Vancouver
Worst by a mile (because of the staff):- NewarkMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
Favourites - LCY, Queenstown NZ, Iguassu Argentina.
Worst - Miami, Lhr T2.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Best - Manchester Terminal 1 (just because I love being there as I know I am about to go on holiday) JFK was pretty good as well, nowhere near as bad as I was expecting.
Worst - Skiathos, not much of a runway and was tiny.0 -
Best: Jerez Spain. One plane a day lands there (OK, perhaps a few more) Clean, no queues, walk 50 feet to your plane!
Worst: JFK. Queue for hours and then treated like dirt by immigration.0 -
Best - Stansted, only an hour up the road from me, bright, clean and modern.
Worst - CDG probably the worst airport i have ever been to, even more so that i was stuck in T2 for 27 hours.
Also have to mention Taba airport (i say the word airport in the loosest of terms) one small room with overpriced toot, crowded, hot and they expect you to pay for one sheet of toilet roll :eek:0 -

That's what I was expecting after reading horrendous reviews about it but they couldn't of been more nicer, the bloke on the immigration was having a laugh and joke with us.
Just shows how much staff are important to places and how different they can make peoples opinions.0 -

strange how they can be so different each day, when i used jfk it was a breeze, the worst bit was battling the traffic from manhattan to queens it is a relief to enter the airport.
the most efficient i have used in this country would probably be BHX departing or arriving i always seem to get sorted quicker than LGW,LHR or MAN.just a shame you are limited to destinations.0 -
Best in my experience...probably Schipol. Clean, well organised, plenty of shops (have seen some surprising bargains there too), plenty to do (art gallery etc), excellent transport links etc.
Worst for me is Bucharest Băneasa. I've flown to a lot of budget/Ryanair destinations but Băneasa takes the biscuit because it is so tiny but is actually very busy. The sole arrivals gate is beside the sole departures gate, which is right beside security, meaning the queue to get on the plane holds up the queue for security, which intermingles with the people coming off the previous plane. It gets very crowded and messy as a result.
from the Wikipedia page about the airport:
The building is a late 1940s design, and was not built to cope with 800,000* passengers per year and departures every 25 minutes. As such, the facilities are extremely undersized and get crowded. The building cannot be expanded, because of its status as a city landmark, and because of sheer lack of space in the airport area.
*Last year they handled over 2 million passengers. :O0
