I am surprised no-one has mentioned Geneva. This really is the most civilised airport I've gone through. The large open-air lounge with sunbeds is most welcome too in the summer months.

The worst I ever went through was Bourgas (Bulgaria) but it is quite a while ago and may have improved since then!

Geneve aeroport has got a LOT better since the expansion/refurbishment works.

It may be civilised in Summer but during the winter ski season there's thousands of people and about 3 seats once you got past security. But now the security checks are done before you enter departures its a lot smoother and they've even given us more seats (and free wifi too).
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Fav: Dubai + KL
Worse: Siem Reap - 1 shop the size of my front room, 1 2nd hand bookstand, 1 overpriced coffee stall. No air con. Plastic chairs.

I actually loved Siam Reap though only arrived there.....brilliant self-service Cambodian e-Visa system, straight through a bar code and retina scanner.....bags on the belt and a cold beer bar outside on the pavement within 10 minutes of leaving the plane.

Best: Changi and Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Halifax (NS) Dusseldorf and Cologne rate amongst the best for facilities that I have used recently.
Antwerp,Lubeck,Paderborn Nelson(nz), Keri-Keri(nz) Davao and Dumaguete(Philippines), ,Kuching and Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia) for being stress and hassle free.

The Worst. Lester B Pearson Toronto, Heathrow, Manila Domestic, along with Doha and Paris CDG are all airports I try and avoid. Unfortunately I have to use Manchester quite regularly but this also deserves a place as one of the worst airports to travel through.

No comments on Exeter? Do people agree that it is really worse than Khartoum?

BTW Exeter also charges an outrageous price for clear plastic bags.

Exeter is my local airport and I don't think it's that bad, it's small and there's nothing to do and there can be big queues but at least you don't have to walk for miles to get anywhere and there are normally enough seats in the departure lounge.

    Best: I like Dubai.

Worst: Not sure, not really a fan of Bristol or Dublin.

I agree - on the way in, it's fab. I didn't get the retina scan as we travelled from PP, and no retina scanner there on arrival either.

It's just sitting in a hot, hard chaired dept lounge on the way out at SP when every other place in the town has air con that's difficult!
