Really like Bangkok and the new terminal at Barcelona as they are so modern (though shopping better at Bangkok), and Minneapolis.
Dreadful: Detroit
Quaint: Hervey Bay International, AustraliaPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Depends on what basis - Reus is awful, as is Thessaloniki. Dar Es Salaam is pretty poor but you have to account for the country it's in! I kind of like Madrid airport but it's way too big...
Liked Dubai airport, and Amsterdam.OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
If not using a lounge, I would agree that Schipol is pretty cool.
I refuse to go to Gatwick, and very much dislike CDG, unless I am in the La Premiere lounge, in which case it becomes my absolute fave!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Best:
Schipol (clean clean clean)
Hong Kong (I liked the food courts)
City Airport, London (just a pleasure)
Heathrow T5.
Belgrade, Serbia (many reasons)
Worst
Heathrow T1-4
Luxor, Egypt (Air con, anyone? or...a fan?!)
Miami (the world's worst security - yes, after 9/11)
99% of American Airports who employ people who should be in jobs asking, "do you want fries with that, ma'am," rather than securing anything.0 -
I like flying from Heathrow Terminal 5 - its calmer than the other terminals! Also liked flying from Glasgow - small but simple airport to find your way around.
Hate flying from Terminal 3 at Manchester airport - its small and hardly any shops to pass on the time. Also not a fan of Newark NJ, always seem to be massive queues when going through security! Have to agree though the view of the Statue of Liberty and Empire State from the gate does soften the blow!0 -
Favourites: Changi and Schipol
Worst: Dubai and Doha0 -
i loved changi airport too - those pools of koi carp were amazing and there was just so much to do in there. You could almost go on holiday INSIDE the airport!
I also like east midlands airport too - really small and friendly with good onsite parking.
i'd have to agree that reus airport is a pokey little place with one tiny shop and a crap cafe.Cover me in honey and fling me to the hermaphrodites!0 -
Favourite has to be Beijing. Stunningly modern, slick and immaculate.
Worst - LAX. The worlds worst set out, slowest, badly organised airport full of staff who would much rather be somewhere else and treat pax with absolute contempt.
I'll be visiting Beijing this Summer. Applying for a visa soon.
When you get to Beijing, what are immigration like? Do they ask you lots of questions, ie what is the purpose of your visit or do they let you straight through?.
Also interested to know what Immigration at Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul and Taipei airport, as I will be travelling to each of these airports during the Summer.0 -

Beijing - I went at the height of Swine Flu scare last year and didn't get a single question. Simply waved through with nothing other than a "Welcome to Beijing" and i'd just flown from Moscow.
Tokyo - The same, nothing but smiles and welcomes.
The only place on earth where you get hostility is the US and UK. The US are paranoid because it is their nature, we are paranoid because they are so we must be too.The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0
