    to the flight!

I have seen flights like that before when booking and always wondered who the hell would want to book them.

    There's my answer :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry :o Am really gutted for you, hope the complaint gets you somewhere, they should refund it, it's not like you didn't cancel it as soon as you realised the mistake.

Maybe you have clicked the short one ?

Smart thinking, have double checked but still on full system scan. Maybe the updated version is just way more efficient. Hope so anyway

hey aren't you covered by the distance selling regulations in this case so that you should get 7 days to cool off and ask for a refund? I think they are indeed trying to play you.

    Hey Chev :hello:

Lovely to see you drop by. Good idea but it seems the powers that be decided to exempt things like flights, hotels etc. from this as they determined it would be detrimental to such businesses. Fair enough but they should also have decreed that airlines cannot then sell more flights than they have seats on the plane, just to make things fair you understand (not because I’m bitter or anything ;)).

Also, it would seem I was wrong about the refund. Misread the email (who me, misread things…. Never :wall:), apparently the £14.80 refund is after LM have waived their fee, which means had they not been so kind hearted they would have charged me £30.20 for the privilege of cancelling the flight. No wonder the first lady I called hung up on me :rotfl:

Have spent ages playing around with flights (paying very careful attention to dates! :p) in an effort to minimise my losses:

    Original Plan
    Edinburgh-KL-Edinburgh (£569), KL-Siem Reap (£66) , Bangkok-Yangon-Bangkok (£114), Bangkok-KL (£63) Total Cost £812

    New Plan
    Edinburgh-KL (£569), KL-Siem Reap (£66), Bangkok-Yangon (£63), Yangon-Singapore (£63), Singapore-Glasgow (£400) Total cost £1161

On the surface it looks like a deficit of £349. However, had the original flight been booked correctly the price would have been £660, bringing the total cost to £903 and reducing the apparent deficit to £258. So, by hook or by crook I need to claw back £258 from somewhere

Have also overshot my budget of £1800, mostly due to underestimation of flight costs, new budget is a staggering £2209 . However there is a lot of buffer accounted for in that so I hope at least some will remain unspent upon my return

Payday to day :T:j:T updated figures to appear below.

Been a relatively productive day for me today.

Collected prescription from pharmacy (been meaning to do this for a fortnight now), only cost £3, forgot the prescription prices had gone down. So further £1 winging it's way to clawback fund :D

Also done a spot of batch cooking:

Lemon chicken in slow cooker, 5hrs to go
    Nearly 2Litres of hummus made.
Pot of French oinion soup done
Huge vat of Curry Queens base curry mix cooling on hob
Tandoori chicken marinading in fridge
4 tubs of mashed potato cooling
7 large fishcakes resting in fridge

I was going to make a lasagna, pita bread, pizza bases and some raisin bread but have run out of steam. Those will have to wait until next week.

Still need to make caramelised onions for hummus, cheesey croutons for soup, 2nd part of base curry mix, cook fish cakes and make risotto to go with lemon chicken once cooked :( Begining to wish I'd never started ;)

LOL. Dog is running around with dinner bowl in her mouth (not her bowl but the other dog who's a GSD, bowl is almost the same size as the dog :rotfl:) stopping at intervals to scrape maddly in the bowl then looking up at me with piteous eyes when it transpires the bowl remains empty. Think she may be trying to tell me it's time for dinner :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
