    LOL, Hi Clippy

You’re right, have been back a while now but have been procrastinating big time about posting here, can’t really identify why. Have enjoyed lurking on your blog though, you put me to shame with all your hard work!

Cambodia was incredible, loved every second of it: even the week of food poisoning _pale_ and my close encounter with the rat . Alas, wasn’t nearly long enough though and have been battling the post holiday blues ever since, this is normal for me but usually a couple of days and I’m pretty much back on track. This time I’m a month back and still struggling to get a grip, need to give myself a boot up the behookie but not quite flexible enough to manage it :p.

Trip came in pretty much on budget and am still on track to be debt free in 227 Days

This should cheer me up but instead I’m simply seeing a long drawn out slog, one that won’t change even when I hit my target as then I need to concentrate on building up a house deposit :(. All I’m seeing at present is a never ending future of self denial and deprivation, which is nonsense but just can’t seem to shift that mindset.

    Anyhoo, current finances stand at:

    £7051.11 outstanding debt

    £13925.42 paid :T

    meaning a 64% reduction since January 2010 :).

oooh sounds lovely (apart from rat and food poisoning ) am v jealous!

thats great news about still being on track! i am not very good with budgets when it comes to holidays! :o know what you mean about holiday blues, i was the same for about a month. was harder this time knowing i have to repay all my debt before i go again! :(

hmmm i might work hard but looking at my totals it does not seem like it, barely made a dent in my debt! only about £400 paid off since nov  have paid much more off but keep spending! whilst most is for the house there have been a few emergency shoe and dress purchases! :shhh: need to stop that! problem is i cant really not take cc out as i use it for all MS purchases! hopefully i will be better organised when i have my new bank account up and running!

Sooooo, not been on here much of late and (rather coincidentally) have been more than a little spendy in that time :o. Ahem. What can I say… to err is human???

(Did I get away with that? Nope, thought not. Worth a shot though.)

My fiscal promiscuity was brought on by a very generous (and equally unexpected) gift of £1000 from my Gran, my share of my late uncle’s estate. There was a great deal of swithering over putting this money towards the old negative wealth but to be honest it just didn’t seem like a particularly fitting epitaph. So, I spent it.

There, confession over, or it would have been if I’d posted this 2 days ago when I could have reported a 78% reduction in monies outstanding. Alas, I was a trifle lackadaisical in making my way here and have since found myself in dire need of a new laptop. So, it is with head held low that I humbly report my current wealth to be negative £5297.78, a reduction of 74% since I began this quest (that’s £15673.07 paid). I had managed to knock a month off my DFD but am now squarely back on target so…

    177 Days to go :undecided
