Mrs brown? explain further ? lol

Oh dear, you've never been called to attend Mrs Brown? (code for an illicit cup of tea/coffee, usually she comes to call during those particularly emotionally taxing shifts)

    Surely not :(

Hmmm, this does not bode well for the Mrs Brown code being known out with Fife

Have no idea why 'Mrs Brown' but occasionally, on particularly bad shifts (and once all the essential work is done), the nurse in charge will arrange a tea tray in the Dr Room. She/He will then run round the ward telling other staff members that Mrs Brown is in and requires their presence as soon as. Patients (supposedly) are none the wiser and assume you're off to atttend another patient... except those 6 ladies in the pink bay who can all see into the Dr room of course :rotfl:

Very tragic event has highlighted yet another flaw in my budget. My poor uncle was found dead in his flat on Monday, just waiting for his death certificate to find out the cause :(

I now realise the improtance of making an allowance for clothing each month as it would not be seemly to turn up to his funeral in jeans and ski jacket (pretty much all I own - well , other than one floor length red suede coat edged all round in even redder fake fur. Hmmmm, maybe not). Trying to find something black without sparkles had been pretty hard going, thankfully Asda had a black knitted dress that I can jazz up with accessories to make it more smart than casual and the only non sparkley black coat in the shop just happened to be in my size. Phew. Monies have been taken from my travel fund, I'm not planning on replacing them.

Thank you all for your well wishes, Gran came to us for Christmas but has now returned home. It’s early days but I think she’ll be OK.

On a money saving note I have now paid over 50% of my outstanding debt, looking forward to 336 days from now when I should have paid 100% :j

    Monies owed: £9,813.57 of £20,970.85 (53% paid :T)
