Hi BB4U,
I've read through this and am so sorry for you and your daughter as this must be so worrying and distressing.
I know that banks etc. can't divulge last known addresses, but wonder if they would agree to forward a letter to his last known address for you.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
Debt free success date: 14.8.2006 :j0 -

To be honest we are not entirely sure of his bank account details and surely there must be lots of Stephen Holmes about?
Thankyou anyway. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
is his email address hotmail or yahoo, those addresses automatically delete themselves after a certain number of months with no activity. So if he hadn't logged in over the 2 years the email would bounce back now.:A

In answer to the what is youtube question..
This chap became world famous in a couple of weeks after posting a simple video about his life.

BB4U...is there any chance he could have joined a religious group (cult) and gone to live in a commune where he is discouraged from having contact with 'outsiders'? Typically, the people most likely to do this are intelligent and at a time of life where they might be confused and unsure about the direction their life is heading. A lot of these 'cults' are known to target travellers as they are considered 'vulnerable' and are more susceptible to mind-control techniques.
Just another possibility...I know it sounds far-fetched but it does happen.
I hope you hear something soon. xx0 -
I do not wish to upset anyone but I have always thought that if an adult wanted to "vanish" and had committed no crimes they were free to do so. The police will concern themselves with children, the mentally ill, those that are obliged to pay child support and criminals but the rest of us can go where and when we please without leaving a forwarding address.0

pbradley you are correct in that anyone can disapear if they wish but it doesnt stop people searching for them, I would rather have the opertunity to speak to someone at least once before and allow them to tell me why they want to disapear to clear my mind of the "I hope they didnt leave becasue of me" thoughts.0

You say he travelled with cash or worked as he went.. does he prefer a particular type of work, eg has he any special skills?
If so, this might help you to focus the search.0 -

Hi
I really don't think so...although you can never be sure, can you?
Stephen is a non believer and I don't think that he would have even given the time of day to any religious cult.
Thankyou anyway.
In answer to the question....has he any special skills.
I believe that he took many cash in hand jobs whilst travelling, to fund the next part of his journey.
However, when he was living in Thailand, he did work as an English teacher. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0
