Kleeneeze or Betterware?
Comments

Me and my mother did Kleeneze several years ago to try and make some extra cash on the side. It was about £70 to join then - money we couldn't really afford to be honest, but with the promises Kleeneze made, it sounded like a good investment. After six months, we were basically just about breaking even - we struggled to find areas where there weren't already other representatives operating. They really don't seem to give a hoot that they have over-subscribed many areas, making it hard for anyone to make the money they say is possible. And lets be honest, most of the stuff you can get in your supermarket with your weekly shop, or by popping into Wilko - and much cheaper than they are charging.
The whole way the business operates reminds me of a pyramid scheme. I can see those who were in it early on being able to build up a customer base and make a sizeable sum from it. But anyone getting into it further down the line will be lucky to make anything close to what is promised from it.
If we had it to do again, I'd definitely have gone down the Betterware route from day one. We did that after Kleeneze, along with Avon, and did far better out of it.0 -

Are you giving up the ghost like so many others.
Why should I care about the share price when I don't hold any shares? The share price doesn't actually affect the day to day running of the company, that is down to the amount of orders the whole group of companies have and as I said Kleeneze is one of over two dozen companies in Findel PLC quite a few of which are bigger than Kleeneze including Express Gifts which is the largest company in the home shopping division.

Because if the share price for the parent company keeps dropping, they may decide to sell off or liquidate one of the subsidiaries, which may be Kleeneze. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Ah ha, cheers lincroft1710 I didn't understand that, although having said that they have recently got rid of a quite a few companies that were making losses and have had to do major work on the education side after it reported false profits so I think they have done all they are going to do as far as that is concerned for now.
Kleeneze does actually make a profit so if anything was to happen it would more than likely be sold not liquidated.0 -

It can also affect the way suppliers treat Kleeneze. As it acknowledges in its last report and accounts
"As with other businesses in the group, increased pressure from suppliers brought on by the group’s financial position led to a reduction in gross margin "0 -

Actually it's £2.50 for 100 (2.5p each) hardly a major expense and I like the special brochures as they get us extra sales but weigh virtually nothing, the £69 is a special offer is IF you wish to buy the whole range but you don't have to do so.
Some distributors have parties where they show the whole range hence why they might want to.0 -
