  • According to my source Andrew Cohen became sole owner of Betterware in Sept 2010.

As you would expect HJ source is accurate.

See this press release from Mr Cohen,s Solicitors .

    "16/09/2010
Fladgate LLP is delighted to have acted for Andrew Cohen in the recent purchase of Betterware, the well known retailer of house-wares and household products.
This is the third time Andrew Cohen has acquired the business. In 1983 it was purchased out of receivership and floated on the stock exchange in 1986. The company was taken private in 1998 but in 2002, Andrew Cohen acquired the business from a consortium of banks that funded the 1998 buy out. In 2008, he sold the business for a second time and in August of this year re-acquired the business from Barclays Bank."

Cheers wongawonga, I actually meant about John's statement that the company's turnover had increased 10%, 10% and 8% not the buying of the company but hey he must really like the company to buy it THREE times, either that or he sold high and bought back really low every time. :D

John I don't do much recruiting and never have done as you will have seen from my previous posts so I am the wrong person to ask on that.
  • Cheers Pete :T

Yes......... I undertstand what your saying now :D I dont think there is anything in the public domian that can substantiate my words/claims then.

I suppose I could've said anything then. :rotfl:

I could've said theres no better time to join........its free to join.........follow this 5 yaer sales plan & you'll be financially free......... do this & you'll win a car.........listen to me & join me on an exclusive holiday........NO THATS THE KLEENEZE RUBBISH :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The actual Betterware figures I beleive were 11/12% in both years of 2008/2009 then 8% in 2010. FACT:D

I suppose things aren't going too well then Pete???

    Regards
    John

  • Just seen a recent Tweet where a Kleeneze Distributor boasts about how much money he made putting out catalogues in an area that a established distributor already works. Desperate times ,desperate measures nicking your colleagues bread and butter business.

    Kleeneze Turf Wars
  • Current set of Kleeneze Catalogue packs cost approximate 75p per pack.
If you put out 400 cats a week" which they recommend you to do.
A 10% loss of 40 cats a week at 75p a shot would result in a loss of over £1500 a year just for starters.
  • WW..... think you'll find there is NO WAY you'll only lose 10% of your books on your first drop out. Even if you do 3 picks ups on the books.

You'll get loads who'll of thrown them away......... then you could come across another Kleeneze rep on the same turf who will probably pick up your books........

GO ON someone...........tell me this doesn't happen :rotfl:

As I have told you numerous times John it all depends how many times you are willing to go back, on a blanket drop of 100 cats I will lose maybe 4 or 5 as I go back whenever I am passing the area until I get a definite no "I've thrown it", or more likely "I can't find it" (most people will not tell you to your face that they have thrown it) or I get the book back. I've been back 5, 6 or more times in the past and got books back, if you only go back once then you WILL "lose" more books. (they aren't lost you should know exactly where they are.)

I have never had another Kleeneze rep take any of my books I cannot comment on what has happened to other people.

Please come up with something new instead of repeating the same old stuff.

So in your case Pete you would lose approx 20 books on a 400 drop which would result in a loss of £750 a year plus all the expenditure and time of going back chasing them.Still a significant loss.

When you say you have never had anybody take your books. I have seen it mention many times in other forums that books are taken in some places.Post above shows that Kleeneze distributors actually brag about distributors nicking established distributors business.
