  • See my latest post then -- if someone answers an advert the classic

    ***earn £200 - £500 FT/PT *****

advert then what are yopu going to say?

I do see your point Jeanetteathome but i would find out what people want and if they say its £200 - £500 then i would explain that everyone builds their Business at their own rate and the more time and effort you can put in the quicker you will achieve these results and explain about the teambuilding which can leverage their time and effort.
I also explain each area is different and say i can only relate my own experience in my area.
Earning £200 a month is quite feasible with brochures through doors but not overnight, if someone wants to turn the brochures around several times a week they are obviously going to find customers quicker than someone that just puts them out once a week.
There are other ways to find customers as well, leaving brochures in work places/school tea rooms etc where multiple people will see it, it all depends on what you want and how quickly. I was never successful when i did that with Kleeneze though probably cos they already had several being put through their home addresses ;)

As i haven't done Kleeneze for a few years i don't know what its like now, i can only relate my experience of finding customers with my current Biz BUT the concept does still work but with Kleeneze products and the poor reputation that follows them because of so many agents in some areas and the Farepak incident i can't say.

  • I'm sorry Debbie but you assertion that it's people being signed up by * inexperienced or someone liberal with the truth* is quite false, I'm not saying you don't believe it but it's wrong. A quick google for kleeneze gives the usual page of top SED's pages for recruitment.

here's a few of the classic lines:-

""""You’re in profit from day one""""""

""""""The national average per catalogue placed is £1, we recommend distributing and collecting at least 200 books a week therefore resulting in order of approx £200. Kleeneze work on a 4 week period, so over the period you would move £800 retail achieving the first level in the plan and be working in profit"""""""

"""""""Different areas produce different results with some part of the UK getting on average over £5 per book""""""

"""""""The more you do the more you will earn. When starting the business part-time you will earn about £450 per month straight away when distributing 200 catalogues twice weekly. Thereafter profits of £500 per month are commonplace; £1,000 per month frequent; £2,000 per month attainable by anybody and £5,000+ per month if you're really committed."""""""""""

"""""The majority of Kleeneze Distributors overlap with other distributors and they all get business. The more Distributors there are the more business that is generated."""""

    """""" £2,000 – £3,000+ a month simply by retailing the catalogues on a full-time basis.""""""""

I could go on , you ascertain that people who want to just do catalogues would be better off in Betterware - not so according to those sites , they talk of thousands made just by retailing alone, some whopping figures bandied about.

ALL these came from top line sites , with Amanda Lamb videos with **Earn 200 - 500+ in your first month** underneath.

THIS is how Kleeneze is marketed to people online and at presentation , the presentation folder has many of these figures in. It's too easy to say *Oh thats team was bad and I wouldn't do that* but the evidence is there that this is across the board, I went to all the meting , conferences and seminars, I have seen it first hand how they train and what they say.

My experiences of it echo so many others it can't be just a bad team, the things I saw and heard are echoed in all these sites and there are hundreds.

I find it bizarre at best to say that if you sit with someone and tell them the literature they get sent is actually wrong and that they will take 4 -5 times longer to actually do kleeneze , that when they do they'll most probably get nowhere hear the £1 a book, that they'll spend months building and area only to regularly have to fend off several other distributors including betterware and that households are heartily sick of books being delivered, that they might get a good order one week and a tiny fraction of that the next time , yet the costs and bills remain the same.

Thats even before saying forget getting 5 good people and earning this and that - tell them they'll need 100+ sign up and they *might* get to gold but won't hold it. Frankly the idea that telling all this would get **any** sign ups is laughable. This was one of the reasons I resigned, few in their right mind would do it if they knew the truth.

Good post jeanette , note it was sidestepped by those so forthright in their defence of kleeneze.

I too have noticed here of late this idea that the drop out rate and the fact that many don't make any money doing this is somehow the fault of the people being *wrongly* recruited. That their expectations were somehow *wrong* and if only it had been explained to them then it all would have been OK.

This is ludicrous at best , at worst deliberately disingenuous. The standard Kleeneze recruitment ads on the order forms , on the *put the book on on Tuesday* leaflets, on the flyers put through letterboxes, in shop windows and in the newspapers all say much the same thing --

    ""Earn £200 - £ 500 a month FT/PT""

""Need and extra income? £7 - £10 per hour FT PT""

""Ambitious? opportunities exist for couple or individuals £50 - £500 for 5 - 10 hrs per week""

The last two are from cards I have right here, bought at a rob forster seminar by the pack full.

So people make contact based on what they see there, they'll say I want to make £200 a month - and they mean they want £200 a Month , NOT £120 after all the costs . When they say they have three nights a week only and a sat morning they don't mean they have every night plus every weekend.

This is the key, the idea that some distributor would go in and give them the full and honest truth, that it will take three times longer and they'll most likely be out of pocket is frankly laughable. No body in their right mind would sign up to such a thing.

"" Do this for 6 months and you *Might* get lucky and break even ""

Hardly a ringing endorsement - before people scurry up and say Oh they are being sold a business , they most certainly are not. It sold as profit from day one with the chance to earn reasonable money of they put the time in. If they put this nebulous amount of time in they *might* get a holiday or car.

I just wish people would actually look and see how Kleeneze is being marketed before making out that it's just a few bad apples - the whole thing is rotten from the top down.

And I never even started about trying to sponsor.....

Thank you for your post Jeanetteathome - it is very much appreciated and I actually totally agree with you on this one :)
I have just come in from work, even though I finish at half 3, because I have been reading up on school policies and various behaviours and conditions of special needs - I am dedicated to my job :)

With Kleeneze I am fortunate to be earning approx. £200 a month :)
I have a very big decision to make - I think I am more nervous about letting my family down in regards to what I could potentially do for them if I got stuck in and built a good income from my Kleeneze business but selfishly I have wanted to teach for such a long time. My family would probably want me to go for my dreams however and more likely not be concerned with me building a business for them.

    Thank you again x

Well it's very simple , you need to apply yourself to getting a PGCE so you can get a job as a primary school teacher , there are jobs going out there but they need the qualifications. You need to get your degree with the open university in your own time, you need to make a strict plan - cut out XYZ , don't take holidays and live frugally to pay for the course, work all the hours you have , you'll need to cut out chasing MLM dreams for by your own admission and your posting history you've done loads - think of the time and money and more importantly effort you have put in. Apply all that to getting an OU PGCE as quickly as possible and get your foot in the door before time catches up.
Everything happens for a reason :)

Its so easy to cherry pick so called good sales assuming its genuine. Funny how in real world from what I seen my area get lots of new people you never see them come back even for catalogues, I can only assume they get fed up of trying as they been given lots of spin

Pat as you only every used them for a brief period why does it bother you so much on posting in here, you either a wind up merchant or you have arterial motive

There's no guarantee your Kleeneze business will sustain £200 every month.

If you don't make the effort and try to get the qualifications to become a teacher you'll regret it,. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but sometime.

Remember, the world needs dedicated teachers, it can get by without Kleeneze reps however.

For someone who claims to have no interest in Kleeneeze and is not here to recruit ,you spend a lot of time here promoting them.
