So whats stopping you teaching people how to make it, you must know the in,s and outs of the majority of the UK network marketing pay plans by now.
If such a massive residual income can be made, why dont more people seize the opportunity Jenny.0 -
A lot of people don't seize it probably because it can be very hard work and time consuming, (I am more realistic when I tell people that it takes time). But it is there if people do want to go for it.
I have thought about turning my passion towards teaching people in my business and I do support my team but I know it's children I want to teach and primarily special needs. I feel that we all have a purpose in life and really once we have realised what it is we should harness it. I feel in my guts that I should be supporting and teaching children and I argue with my own instinct every day that I really should be pursuing this more.ColinAllCars wrote: »So whats stopping you teaching people how to make it, you must know the in,s and outs of the majority of the UK network marketing pay plans by now.

Just want to add if nobody minds - teaching is the only career that I have thought about where money isn't the drive for me to want to do it. I honestly don't think it's money that drives me - I think I have chopped and changed to find something that earns me more just for day to day needs to get us by and hopefully solve some debts, etc which we are doing but in the whole picture money doesn't particularly excite me.
It sounds cheesy I know but it's making a difference that makes me want to teach.

I also didn't say Pat isn't just pleased for me - Pat has congratulated anyone doing well, the same as I have. I would also congratulate any Betterware agents who were doing well also - to be honest I would congratulate anyone doing well and following their dreams

Talking of dreams - I feel that I am at a bit of a crossroads at the moment, I mentioned in my early posts that my dream is to teach, it has been since I was 4 years old
I know what this business can give me but I also know where my heart is - I think of teaching every single day! What do I do and where do I start? Does anyone know any threads on here that can help me please?
I do hope I can make the right decision though - there is no ceiling for what you can earn with a MLM business but I feel that I am meant to be teaching - I feel no greater satisfaction than when I am in work supporting the children, it feels natural and I feel completely at home with it.
Can anyone help please?
Many thanx,

I have always had that feeling about teaching too Jenny and did look into it a few years back, had a chat with our local school schools head teacher who informed it would involve getting a degree first which i haven't got.
Do you have a degree Jenny? If so its much easier to get into teaching apparently.

I'm not doing it because i do not want to spend all the time he has, I don't have his patience either...my comment on this thread was to merely say that it can be done if you work hard and give it your best shot...thats all...sharing an experience, whether it be mine or a relation!!
I love honesty, thank you. Not everyone does want to spend the time or have the patience but they can still see that it can work. Again we are back to that "finding out what the person wants from it when they join" and ensuring they don't have false expectations of earning a fortune overnight.

Just to report that I've been using that advert about the Apprentice, slightly changed to my own words and its resulted in some strong enquiries from people interested in the business.
Pat
So what this thread has got nothing to do with your business opportunity, and you claim not to come here to recruit, and yet you use this thread to talk about strong interest in your business opportunity.0 -
I'm afraid the answer is LOTS Colinallcars and that has to be because they were signed up by an inexperienced recruiter or one who was liberal with the truth and set too high expectations. Many people also don't realise that actually getting 200 brochures ready to go out for the first time isn't a quick job and putting brochures out when you haven't done it before can be quite daunting and uncomfortable until you get used to it the same as anything you haven't done it before.
I find that some people think its going to be easy whatever they are told and perhaps set their own expectations too high and are then disappointed. It is simple but its not always easy.
People need to stop seeing Business Opportunities like this as a quick instant get rich thing and see it instead as a way to build a really useful 2nd income and if the higher incomes they want they need to reinvest in themselves to become and learn the skills needed to be a good teacher and mentor. They are Business Opportunities and even if its just retailing you need to treat it as if its your own Business, you are an independent Distributor and as such you can make your Business as good or not as you want.
Debbie
I'm sorry Debbie but you assertion that it's people being signed up by * inexperienced or someone liberal with the truth* is quite false, I'm not saying you don't believe it but it's wrong. A quick google for kleeneze gives the usual page of top SED's pages for recruitment.
here's a few of the classic lines:-
""""You’re in profit from day one""""""
""""""The national average per catalogue placed is £1, we recommend distributing and collecting at least 200 books a week therefore resulting in order of approx £200. Kleeneze work on a 4 week period, so over the period you would move £800 retail achieving the first level in the plan and be working in profit"""""""
"""""""Different areas produce different results with some part of the UK getting on average over £5 per book""""""
"""""""The more you do the more you will earn. When starting the business part-time you will earn about £450 per month straight away when distributing 200 catalogues twice weekly. Thereafter profits of £500 per month are commonplace; £1,000 per month frequent; £2,000 per month attainable by anybody and £5,000+ per month if you're really committed."""""""""""
"""""The majority of Kleeneze Distributors overlap with other distributors and they all get business. The more Distributors there are the more business that is generated."""""
"""""" £2,000 – £3,000+ a month simply by retailing the catalogues on a full-time basis.""""""""
I could go on , you ascertain that people who want to just do catalogues would be better off in Betterware - not so according to those sites , they talk of thousands made just by retailing alone, some whopping figures bandied about.
ALL these came from top line sites , with Amanda Lamb videos with **Earn 200 - 500+ in your first month** underneath.
THIS is how Kleeneze is marketed to people online and at presentation , the presentation folder has many of these figures in. It's too easy to say *Oh thats team was bad and I wouldn't do that* but the evidence is there that this is across the board, I went to all the meting , conferences and seminars, I have seen it first hand how they train and what they say.
My experiences of it echo so many others it can't be just a bad team, the things I saw and heard are echoed in all these sites and there are hundreds.
I find it bizarre at best to say that if you sit with someone and tell them the literature they get sent is actually wrong and that they will take 4 -5 times longer to actually do kleeneze , that when they do they'll most probably get nowhere hear the £1 a book, that they'll spend months building and area only to regularly have to fend off several other distributors including betterware and that households are heartily sick of books being delivered, that they might get a good order one week and a tiny fraction of that the next time , yet the costs and bills remain the same.
Thats even before saying forget getting 5 good people and earning this and that - tell them they'll need 100+ sign up and they *might* get to gold but won't hold it. Frankly the idea that telling all this would get **any** sign ups is laughable. This was one of the reasons I resigned, few in their right mind would do it if they knew the truth.0 -

I would sit down with them and discuss what they need to do to learn how to earn that money, how many hours they're willing to put in, how much money they have to ''invest'', do they want to earn it by putting out catalogues or teambuilding, or a mixture of both.

Well it's very simple , you need to apply yourself to getting a PGCE so you can get a job as a primary school teacher , there are jobs going out there but they need the qualifications. You need to get your degree with the open university in your own time, you need to make a strict plan - cut out XYZ , don't take holidays and live frugally to pay for the course, work all the hours you have , you'll need to cut out chasing MLM dreams for by your own admission and your posting history you've done loads - think of the time and money and more importantly effort you have put in. Apply all that to getting an OU PGCE as quickly as possible and get your foot in the door before time catches up.0
