Bunglegirl well done with the Job centre - be sure to get the paperwork done so it doesnt delay your payments too much. Remember you are doing your house for you now (and your DD) - you want to make it comfortable and tidy so that you and DD can have fun together - it doesnt matter what Ex thinks IMHO - do it for you!!!! (((hugs)))

You're right toots - I'm not doing it for him, but enjoy the fact that he noticed and might realise that the reason I never was very good at it before was because he never stopped bliddy going on about it. I swear I could clean the whole house but he would only ever notice the one thing that I didn't do! Honestly, the way that he went on about the state of the house you would expect it to look like something from How Clean is Your House! He could never accept my 'stuff' (paperwork mostly) even though the house and the garage are full of his 'stuff' (amps/guitars/motorbikes in bits/bikes in bits etc.).

I have enjoyed cleaning and just being pleased with what I have done and having noone to put me down all the time :D

And I've nearly finished the ironing and half a bottle of wine ;)

Pipersky did you make any yoghurt/marmalade in the end? Mmm that cake looks gorgeous, might have to make that for DH :) Sorry about the blueberry jam - a good tip for a burnt pan I found is to cover the burnt stuff with white vinegar and then boil the pan for a wee while. It comes off like magic this way :D

Erm... lets just say I ordered a yoghurt maker from Amazon :o:eek::D. I haven't made marmalade YET as I made the blackberry jam (slightly too firm, but edible :o) and not enough jars for both... Thanks for the tip re. vinegar. I will try that next time :)

(((Hugs))) if anyone needs one. Now, who wants to give me a kick up the bum to clean the bathroom? Anyone?? OK, I'll do a HHC starting from 13.30 (so I better get my butt in gear as its 13.35)...

Oh! Forgot to mention that the sneaky so-and-so put a load of his washing at the bottom of the laundry basket last night when he was looking after DD (he had actually lifted stuff out and hid it underneath) presumably assuming that I would wash it - no chance! And the bits that were already washed are still sitting in the ironing basket - I've done mine and DD's but will not be touching his :D
