Well I survived the Job Centre. I was doing very well and didn't blub at all and both the people that I had to see were really nice and didn't make me feel like a waste of space. I've got a list of things that I need to do to provide everything I need for my claims. Finish of the partnership tax return to Apr '10 and get DD's dad (not my DH) to write a letter confirming our unofficial agreement regarding maintenance. Then an old friend who works in the Job Centre came out and asked what I was doing there and I told her DH had left and burst into tears. Thankfully I had finished the interview so I was able to leave promptly and have a cigarette!
That is pretty much how I found it as well:o:cool:

    Off out shopping now:wave:

    What's dot to dotting??? :o

It's a term coined by A'n'W's mum :D You do lots of little jobs, that don;t seem related, but eventually, you join all the little jobs and you've done loads. Like a dot-to-dot picture, it reveals itself once you're done, in a tidy house :j

It was the third job center visit that I cried.
I'd just been interviewed for a job that only paid minimum wage and was fairly sure I wouldn't get it as I confessed I'd been hoping for a bit more. A £10k drop in wages is quite a difference and so I felt very glum.

And the job center staff member simply asked how the job search was going and how I was finding it. Cue blub!!! The guy was really nice though and said he knew how it was as he'd been there too.

Then last week I had a "back to work session" and it was the same guy doing the session :rotfl:

Thanks for the explanation Penpen - makes sense now :D

    hello everyone
a bit overcast in toots land but I am ever hopeful that it will brighten later - well i do have a washing that is about to get hung out!:D

pigpen I was only teasing about the funeral excuses -I knew you would be going even if its not what you liike but as you say it could be an interesting day! I always knew you were a big softie at heart - but like you say when your mother is so upset how can you say No - i am glad to hear though that it is not a lot of physical things that you have to do. Fingers crossed the coroner doesnt opt for a PM its all been a bit too traumatic without that as well (((hugs))) for you and your Mum xx
Diva :hello: morning honey - you are an angel for worrying about everyone else but make sure you are looking after YOU!!!! xx
natty :hello: nice to see you so cheerful but I will be watching!!!! make sure you dont overdo it so you can fight off that sore throat (((hugs)))xx
Vanilla i wish I could wave a magic wand and it would all be finished for you - sounds like a lot happening in the next couple of days that will pull it all together (((hugs)))
Penny WTG DD - lots of luck with her interview.
Grateful I was wondering about rach as well but she's on holiday!!!
MummyOfTwo welcome to the thread - i will send you a pm shortly - with the reference to the Forth Bridge are you in Scotland?
sock-knitter well done with that hotspot - the trick is now keeping it tidy:D
Bunglegirl well done with the Job centre - be sure to get the paperwork done so it doesnt delay your payments too much. Remember you are doing your house for you now (and your DD) - you want to make it comfortable and tidy so that you and DD can have fun together - it doesnt matter what Ex thinks IMHO - do it for you!!!! (((hugs)))

I have been productive this morning!

After breakfast I put on 1 x WM which needs to go out on the line now
I emptied the cupboard under the sink
    washed the shelves
managed to throw out a few more bits
re-organised the shelves to accomodate my new food bin
    emptied kitchen bin
cleaned the stainless steel splashbak. kitchen bin and sink, drainer taps etc!
cleaned hob and in under the knobs
found a home in the hall cupboard for dusters and polish etc
cleaned out 2 handbags and put them away
filled a charity bag for tomorrow
been to the shop for few bits and paid community charge and posted letter

    spoken to my DN
feel quite pleased with what I have done and I am not worn out

    will be lunch time shortly
    catch you later
    tootsxx
    Peace will be mine

I did that at my 'review' session. I am on IB and can's seem to get myself well enough for long enough to do anything. When he asked what I thought I might be able to manage to do I blubbed. It was so unexpected too. I didn't realise I felt so bad about it. That was last Summer.:)

Thanks for the explanation Penpen - makes sense now :D
I'm just updatinf my list, so will join you in the cuppa and HHC :)

Am I too late to join you?

I didn't manage to get to dog agility last night as I was taken ill again suddenly and had to turn around and come back. Methinks I need to bite the bullet and see the doctor.

    Today I have done paperwork.:D

Pest control man has been today too.

DS3 has heard and is going away at the weekend so we need a last dash to town to get a few things. He has most of what he needs. Today I will be concentrating on helping him.

DS2 can do the bathrooms as way of paying his keep.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
