I try to stick to Daz as I know it doesn't flare my eczema up - however local Tesco's just stopped stocking the smallest sized boxes of it (and buying the larger packs is just a space-hog for the two of us), so I've had to risk trying something new this week - shall see if it sets my arms off a-itching.

Basically just find one that works for you and stick with it.

I suffered with childhood eczema and Persil non bio was the only one that seemed to not set me off...and for me it has to be the non-concentrated one (not the minature bottles) for some reason when they brought out the concentrated ones to save on packaging it caused a rash so now i have to traipse to Tesco to get the "normal" one...

I can't do without fabric conditioner as my clothes are then too rough which even as an adult now can set me off in a rash from the harshness...I use Fairy softener, still smells but not as bad as some of the comfort ones and it's gentle to boot..

Bold is the death of me, if i have it now as an adult i would start itching...

Think the key is non-bio that is what i was always taught to stick with, with having it...

Welshmoneylover - me too. I have never used Persil as when I was a kid that was the main one that I was allergic to. Again it was years ago, but I have never bought it as a result. Mummyof5 was it these http://www.lakeland.co.uk/ecoballs!REG/F/keyword/eco+balls/product/21756 very mixed reviews, do you think they are good?

I cant use Persil non-bio either (tried it about a month ago - again - as someone said it was what the eczema society suggested) but ended up washing all the clothes again in Ecover.

My dd2, who's six months old is covered (every little inch of him....:() in severe eczema and I also have very bad eczema.

Nothing (my mum always ends up with the leftover washing liquids I've tried....) but Ecover (has to be the liquid, the powder irritates me) plus an extra rinse and line drying in our house is possible . My other 2 children have both got very dry skin and any other detergent makes them itch.

Ecover takes a little bit of getting used to, as the smell is quite "unique" - sort of herby is the only way I can describe it because its not heavily perfumed. My husband used to hate it when we first met but has now got used to it and actually prefers it.

Gonna definitely look into the washballs, just cant help wondering if they will get the clothes as clean though.

I use Boots Sensitive Skin Washing Powder (silver boxes - found near vitamins/medicines counters) If you are a Boots health club member when you use your advantage card it is half price - full price is 3.69. The problem can be getting hold of it sometimes - though I bought two boxes on Saturday. They do go through periods of not having it - when that happens I get Surcare. I find that Boots powder gets clothes cleaner.

Never use fabric conditioner now but if Surcare and boots do one if you feel you need it.
