I haven't got anything to recommend with regards to soap powder, but both my children have had mild-ish eczema and the best thing I've used to clear it up is Dream Cream from Lush. Works a treat. They also do Dream Wash which you use to, errr, wash them with :D - I was given a sample of it last time I was in there so haven't actually bought any myself.

And it looks like we made it once again

You can also try running the washing through an extra rinse and spin at the end of a wash, this helps to get rid of all the residues.

Fairy non bio is pretty good, or some of the non chemical ranges like the eco or similar.

I use Surcare its a special skin sensitive non-bio and my eczema's got a lot better since using it, you can get it in Morrisons and I've seen it in Sainsburys.

I think its a case of trying different brands though as I went through a few before I found one that helped.

I've started using Surcare, I got it in Tesco, as DD2 has eczema. I'm not sure it's made much difference. Before this we used Tesco non-bio and some soda crystals, but I wondered if the soda crystals might make her eczema worse?

I rarely use fab con and I've started doing an extra rinse. I think non-bio does seem to be better than bio powders although I'm not convinced that any one brand is better than another, maybe it just depends on the person.

I'm v surprised to read the recommendations for Persil cos that's the only powder that brought me out in a rash.

But that was years ago so I might try Persil non-bio now cos the formula might have changed a tad
    thanks MSErs
