OMG  who on earth would pay nearly £400 for a bread bin? I'd need a lifetime supply of bread thrown in.

It's not like it's made out of something expensive like oak or teak.

Some expensive things are worth having - I have a very expensive (?£30?) washing up bowl from when we got married which is made of rubber so can be adjusted to fit in annoying pan handles etc and will last indefinitely, but that is not in the same league.

I'm a great believer in value for money. Some things are twice the price and four times as good. But equally I see some things in these housing magazines and think "You're having a laugh".

Saw a fridge/freezer with a coffee maker stuffed in the middle. It was massive and only a snip at £17,000...

My washing up bowl now costs around £50, so google tells me, and to be fair if I tore it somehow I would get another one as it really us so useful having an adjustable bowl that I can bend and flex, and it looks practically new despite some years of use.

well, it has been fun chatting about overpriced homeware (I'm ashamed to say I would spend £50 on a washing up bowl if I needed to replace mine, but it is true), but I'm yawning so I'll leave you looking for breadbins for your friends :)

Night Z, thanks for the company.

Well done for making a start on the running again Bun, I am just sat here looking out at the rain with no intention of going anywere apart from Asda:o

I have decided to visit the Zen site every day and change 1 thing every week as I cannot go on the way I am for much longer without something giving way.

Going to try the getting up early approach which was very sucessful when I was writing assignments for my teaching quals when the boys were little.

Today........I am going to get on top of the housework which has gone up the wall seeing as though I have been ill this week.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    Morning Bunny and Louise.

I admire your resolution Louise. My resolution is that I will do a load of studying today as yesterday I did a load of shopping instead :o
