  • :( Had email this today :(
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hello,
    Thank you for participating in our latest 8 for 8 Pound offer which was run on orangeaccessories last week.
    We had overwhelming interest on the offers, which we did not expect and subsequently have now run out of stock and are unable to fulfil all orders.
    We are really sorry but we have had to cancel your order.
    Do not worry, we have not taken any money from you, your card issuer will have reserved some funds for us but
    we are letting them know now that we won't be completing the order, you should see it showing as available funds very shortly.
    We know it is not great news but we do run these promotional offers often so hopefully you will visit and shop with us again soon.
    Please accept this 10% discount code : ******** : that can be used on orangeaccessories as a good will gesture on our behalf.
    This code is single use and unique to you and if you can not decide right now, it will work up until the 10th June 2010.
    Please accept our sincere apologies and we hope you will come back soon.
    Kind Regards
    Orange Accessories
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    How disappointing. Its a very standard email not even personalised.

    Has anyone had anything delivered from successfully ordering?

    when i spoke to them last night, they had the attitude of "i cant be ****** to deal with your query with any courtesy and I will read from a script and there aint nowt you can do about it"

    I am going to email and complain but I dont think it will do me any good. All that will happen is that I will get a bog standard response like the cancellation email.

    When they realised that their website had crashed, someone would have had to fix it. Why could that same person not take the sat nav off the site to stop all this, or at the very least mark it up as currently out of stock?

    Orangeaccessories and orange are the same people right?

    I contacted watchdog for them to look into this... It's absaloutly disgusting that that people have Bern left to deal with this even though they was in first.. No problem with those who got.. But the company cocked up
    I really doubt that watchdog would do anything here:eek:

    Firstly it quite clearly quoted "limited stock" and also you would not be able to prove that "someone" that ordered after you (if this is your reason) got their order fulfilled when you did not. I think that some on here and other sites post these sorts of things just to wind people up (which clearly some have bitten!!).

    When you make a payment online to anyone your payment is "reserved" for them to actually take when they want to (like with a tesco grocery order for instance). If I order my groceries and then pay by my debit card the amount is reserved ready to take when they have actually done and dusted the final order but until then it stays pending until its actually on its way.

    These deals are "grabbits" and some grab and others don't. I am very pleased for anyone that got theirs although I did not get mine. (well done!!). Thats the way it goes.

    Is that the legal position in the UK as regards a supplier and their legal responsibilities towards a consumer? You pay your money and you takes your chance?

    Many, many orders satisfied before & after mine. Some bulk orders also fulfilled.
    When they have limited stock they should have limited the deals to 1 per customer (or) should have cancelled the bulk orders instead of cancelling those genuinely placed orders.
    Many items which were sold for £8 are now floating in ebay all in 2 digits.

    You do not actually pay though do you. You propose to pay and IF they accept your order they take the money.
