Cover me in honey and fling me to the hermaphrodites!
  • Just received an email saying my order for the External Hardrive has been dispatched.
I placed the order at 02:29:50 on 08 May 2010.
  • Guess I ll just have wait and see how much they are going for when they hit Ebay, there will be a nice profit in it for the speculators. I wanted one for me ( ordered another for my sons birthday ), not to sell on.

I'm finding it hard to see how there may not be a Loss of Bargain claim here (just in my honest opinion, I'm not a lawyer). They say that your card will be charged. They say that the items will be delivered to your address. The mail confirms your 'order'.

Their defence would probably be that 'you clicked a button that said you agreed to Ts and Cs that stated that you accept that an order confirmation mail is not really an order confirmation email'. What kind of joke is this? What kind of noobs are running this outfit? Wouldn't be surprised if a court acted in the consumer's favour, you can't just protect yourself from claims by slotting some random clauses in your Ts and Cs and then acting in a way that would mislead all but the most earnest of consumers.

Mass action suit here we come.

They 'precharged' me for nearly £400 for stuff they had no intention of delivering.

Loss of Bargain! Just in my amateur opinion obviously.

I have received a dispatch email for my Hard Drives from Orange about an hour ago..

And another one for a bluetooth car kit too! (on another account) :T

Nothing for my sat nav as yet though, but happy with the Fujitsu HDD's and the bluetooth kit!
