Well I am really keen to get one of the external hard drives for my new business and they stuffed it up all right... Bank said it had gone through on the day but there system did not pick it up, no confirmation, etc. Will check with the bank in the next couple of days - sent a letter of complaint to them saying it was a shambles and got fobbed off. not very impressed and disappointed I will not be able to back up the data for my new business
............... Have you ever wondered what

From what I have read getting an order confirmation means nothing either as they are canceling some of those to.
By the way, you can buy hard drives for your business elsewhere..

for £8????
I am starting up from the basement so I can not afford the luxury of 1 or 2 at £45 a pop and need something to go into the fireproof box. if you have any ideas, I am welcome to hear them
the company has changed its name twice in 10 years - i reckon its a real back room operation with no customer service considerations like a tradition store - even an online one. Anyway - complained again and will not shop there again ... unless there are £8 bargains! lol but would not shop there and pay full price............... Have you ever wondered what

Oh come on...enough with the pitiful posts please people! You must have known you were creating a business? Surely you weren't relying on a one-off online price offer to make it work! You can buy another portable hardrive somewhere else. You lose some, you win some, but seriously! Making out your business may go down the drain because you didn't get a bargain portable harddrive is taking the "poor me" attitude too far.0 -
max .....
I did not say that did I? I said i would not be able to back up data without a cheap alternative ... which there isn't. The point I was making like quite a few people that quite a few genuine people lost out due to a very bad implementation of a sale. I think fair comment.
I think you should take your air of superiority and wrap it up with a hint of smugness and .....
I will let you guess the rest............... Have you ever wondered what

How did people run businesses before portable hardrives then? Well, they did, and still do! I was only going off what you were implying there. It was a 1 day offer, some got the goods, some didn't; some abused it, yet they still got it. Life isn't fair!
You can still use high-capacity pen drives, or back up to cd's or whatever. If you want to make it work, you will! Losing out on a 1 day offer isn't going to bring your business down, is what I was trying to say.0 -

To be fair if you did back up your system before external hard drives it meant a load of magnetic tape going around a 6 ft tower for an hour each day whilst your staff sit around saying "computers down" to all your customers that ring up within the hour..

lol I get your point! I was only commenting on the fact that he/she was implying not getting this deal would prevent him/her from running his business successfully. I never meant to be disrespectful, and I do apologise if if was received that way. Peace!0

When I started my business about 6 years ago I couldn't afford anything for a year.
Leaving every spare penny in for cash flow.
Started it with £0 apart from a internet & company formation fees.
£20-30 is £20-30 ...
You were obviously more fortunate & had money to bring in.
You weren't being disrespectful but I think you may have forgotten or didn't encounter a few things from the "beginning".
Then again, I bet he didn't budget for an external hard drive..
