You played the game and got stung.
Plenty of people point boost on this website but they have different methods of doing this.
Don't think you would have a leg to stand on to be honest.0 -

? I'm confused. I didn't use a 'method' to boost my points. I didn't deliberately buy the cheapest CD's on the offer of anything like that. I simply brought standard items that were for sale?!0 -
Whaaat??
What kind of rubbish is that? Are you sure you understand them correctly?? I know many people who have more then 1 card and use them randomly... Never heard such a rubbish..
I placed 7 orders on one day and used 2 different cards for those orders... apparently that is very suspicious...? All were delivered to the same address, all were paid for from the same address.0 -

Now don't play dumb. You bought number of items to gain lots of points. That is a "method".
And you bought large number of the SAME items, that will take a lot of explaining that you weren't planning to sell it on. Two of each you might get away with, maybe. Do you really think that people are so thick?

To use 2 different credit cards, as long as they were to the same address and for the same name is not suspicious what so ever. If they are quoting that as a reason I would immediately tell them to go and stuff themselves, request the name and employee number of the person who told you such a porkies and requested to speak to a supervisor. They were just trying to get rid off you for the moment.0 -

Ok, well I guess you are right, I did you this to boost my points. However, the offer was, "buy this phone, get 200 points" It's not like they were trying to encourage me to buy more items such as in BOGOF's, etc and I didn't. It was a straight forward offer of an item at a set price with an offer attached, i'm guessing to boost sales.... which it did, it encouraged me to buy! If they didn't want to sell the phone at that price, whilst giving away those points, why put it on the site at that price, with that offer?0 -

Because you abused the offer?
And don't tell me that you don't consider buying in hundreds as abusing please.0 -

They take Clubcard points back off you instore now too if you return anything0

Abuse of the clubcard scheme!!!
There is no such thing if tescos dont put adiquate (sp) terms and conditions in place then this cannot be claimed
If tescos stated the maximum number of deals you could get points on were say 10 they they could take points away but as they havent set limits then abuse cannot be stated.
Tescos have offered to give you 500 points for buying 2 CDs. Tescos have not informed you of any limits. You can purchase as many as you like.
Tescos have formed a contract with you to give you the points for the purchases they cannot go back on this contract latter.
Depending upon what they say to you, you may need to take small claims action against them to get to a satisfactory out come. Start collecting all the evidence you need now. You should be able to claim 4x the value of points as cash as tescos advertise this is what they are worth.
This has been done before on several occasions and tescos appear to lose the cases when they get to court"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -
IMHO Tesco are sailing very close to the wind taking points that have been earned when buying items from them. The points form part of the contract of sale. Tesco are then able to rely on their Terms and Conditions of the Clubcard scheme to remove the points. Here are the Scheme's T&C's relating to banning, removing points etc.
The Tesco Clubcard card and key fobs are issued by and remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited which reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a)terminate the scheme; (b)decline to issue Clubcard cards and key fobs; and (c)on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Clubcard cards, key fobs or points collected, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Tesco Clubcard scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii) any use or attempted use of a Clubcard card, key fob or points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii) any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
(i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme. Thats a wide statement. Whos says that buying 100 CD's or whatever is abuse. Tesco have made the offer to sell. Nobody in the shop bothered to mention the 6 per person limit. Tesco were happy to take the money etc, etc. And from Tesco's point of view, how can this be proved to be 'reasonable', and by the way, what is reasonable - 'The Store Manager didn't like the look of me, I got home to find all my points had been taken...????'
Nowhere in Tesco's Clubcard T&C's does it mention the "Spirit of the Scheme", if I remember correctly it used to be there, but they more than likely had to remove it due to it's one sided nature.
Anyway, if you have had points removed and are willing to do it, people have taken Tesco's to court before and won (or got a judgement by default because Tesco's have bothered to show up).0
