    Good morning,

I need to go shopping after I've dropped the elf off at school, as I'm picking my friend up at 10.30 to take her for her hospital appointment.

I am currently debating if I should hang on at work until September and take a career break, or if I should just hand my notice in now. I don't work long hours, but the elf doesn't like going to breakfast club (he's ok once he gets there), and the house is chaotic. Hmmmmm.

Somewhere today I need to fit in making Grumpy some spag bol for the freezer as there isn't any left in there. Plenty of other food, but spaghetti is one of his favourites.

    Take care all of you
  • Morning all.

N9eav Have a lovely day, I can't even go on a pedalo with out feeling sick:o

Penpin Hope your op goes ok and you don't feel too bad.

I'm going to walk the dog soon then vote on the way back. My DS wants me to vote for the man with the big head:huh::rotfl:
DD school is shut for polling so she wants to bake later. I'm rubbish at baking.

    Morning All,

I am going to be super quick and succinct today (not my forte, I know).

Going to exercise my basic human right to take part in a democratic election. Won't be SNP that's for sure, I like being Scottish first, and British second. Shame because they have some sound policies apart from the whole independance thing.

Looking after DS2's friend. Making food. Burying some plants. Washing clothes. Dying hair. Washing inside of windows. Fighting with garage. Shopping later.

Hugs to all, especially PenPin Diva and the other poorlies. Great news JackieO

JackieO, I'm very glad you got the all clear for another year. I know how relieved you must be. My consultant wrote the other day to say that although they told me I'd go back to the normal 3 year mammogram reginme they now want me to have one in 12 months. I think they are just being extra cautious though.

Final push in the housework today as our guests arrive this afternoon. I want to go to the butcher and get alarge lamb shoulder to do slow cooked lamb on Sunday. We've got gammon tonight and will have fish and chips tomorrow.

Penpin I hope you feel better soon.

    Morning all,

Well, I voted on the way to work. I always vote - again I feel oblidged because of the suffering people went through to give me that right. I don't agree with any of them though :( I went through all the policies last night and still felt lost at the end of it. Normally I vote for the one I find least objectionable, but all of them have a handful of policies I find out-right offensive this time. Sometimes I feel that it doesn't matter who you vote for, the Government still gets in. In the locals it's either lib dem or labour here - roughly equal vote split, with all of the other parties hardly even registering.

Diva - hope you are feeling better
    JackieO - awesome!
longtimelurker - :rotfl::rotfl:I love the logic of little ones :)
    pen-pin - good luck for later :)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That's made my day :)

OSiness will included putting what was supposed to go in the slow cooker in the slow cooker for dinner tomorrow and making pizza instead tonight. I have some pendants to finish for my folksy shop and I need to do some laundry. I should hoover too really. I need to post a a sock snake to my nephew, but it's been sitting on my desk at work for a week and has sort of become part of the furniture (plus the fact I'm using it as a wrist rest :rotfl:) I might make another one and send that as I've got rather attached to this one :rotfl::rotfl: It helps with the RSI honest :)

Have a good day all, cel x

 Morning gang, hope this finds everyone well, warm and happy today.

Think something is going on today but I can't remember what it is!:rotfl:

Actually I now what needs to happen to enable me to get sorted and organised. All we need is a General Election every week(every day would be better but I am an understanding dictator:rotfl:)

So far today I have dyed my hair(badly needed-looked like a badger) made a pot of soup, sorted the next two dayd teas(pizza/wedges/salad/ tonight, tomrrow CHIPPY:o:o )washed up, put the washer on, fed furry gang and done the all the trays.
Put full slap on and had breakfast all by 6.30:j

Have been to vote and will be heading out for a bit shortly. Will only be lending a hand for a couple of hours.
Hoping to be back by early afternoon, grab a quick hour then not quite sure. Will depend on how its going. Need to get some chocolate for 3.30am don't know why but it helps.

Funny election story no1 Went to vote, coming out of polling station saw some tellers from another party(am not active in this area so they don't have a clue I am involved in politics at all)
Am wearing a lovely top Mark bought me in a beautiful and very bright shade of "our colour" Anyway, I was greeted with a smile and they asked to look at my poll card not a problem then one of them admired my top and then said laughing "I would be careful about wearing that they will think you are a ********* *****************" Her face when I said I was a was priceless:D

    Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Pen-Pin!! Hope everything goes well today. Will be thinking of you.

    JackieO :j:j:j Delighted for you.

  • Morning all, been MIA for a bit due to DS problems.....waiting for behavioural psychologist assessment:(
Just been to vote, read all the manifesto details last night as you don`t get much idea from the tv as to what they are promising to do. I was a bit undecided between 2 really.... def not Labour, never liked them.
Lib Dems have some good policies for SEN in schools, then again you would hope that David Cameron may have an idea of what it is like with a disabled child due to what they went through with his poor son, however that doesnt say it would translate down to his policies. Strangely Nick Clegg is our local Lib Dem MP in this constituency. I have had dealings with him on a personal level (no not like that:eek:) when argueing with the LEA about DS`s help at school.
Rainy day here today. am going to empty the freezer shortly to make an inventory and do meal plans for next 2 weeks. OH will be late in tonight so am doing stuffed baked potatoes for tea, the potatoes are baking as we speak.
JackieO great news from your doctor:T it must be a relief.
Cranky do you need childcare for the house elf in the school hols? If you do then you may want to finish at the start of the summer hols to save weeks of hassle.

    Morning everyone.
Sorry didn't post yesterday, ran out of time  Wednesdays are going to be pretty busy from now on as I am helping out at nursery on Weds afternoons as the kids go to Forest School. It's all about getting mucky in the woods (and boy did we get mucky :rotfl:) but the midges were a nightmare  Anyway today I am taking the kids with me when I go to vote (it's educational ;)). Lots of people on FB getting very het up about the election - I even had a Lib Dem leaflet pushed through the door at 6.30AM this morning. Hmmmmm the cynic in me feels like this is last ditch attempts to secure my vote - I'll be glad when it's over and the ruddy leaflets stop :(

Right moving on to OS - beef is in SC for tea tonight. Made some museli muffins yesterday which are delish (especially with a little bit of raspberry jam :D). No housework being done at the mo - got neice coming to play this afternoon and some new clients coming tonight. More potential clients coming tomorrow afternoon so will end up playing catch up at the weekend booooooo :(

Sorry haven't read yesterdays thread - will do so now.

Hug to those that need them.

Penny - Hope your procedure goes well for you xx

NPM - glad to see you posting. Sorry you're having problems with Noah. Hope you don't have to wait too long for assessment xx
