What does everyone make to these people who weren't allowed to vote? Is it tough luck because they should have been there sooner or will it turn into more?0

Babymoo - I would be inclined to say tough luck, polling stations opened at 7am, they have had all day to get down there, but you know how the british like to make a big deal out of things, so don't think we have heard the end of it.turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0

Just out of curiosity, does anyone think it should be mandatory for everyone to vote?
Its amazing that BNP are getting over 1000 votes per constituency!0 -

hi NLID howre you?0

really don't think it should be. would hope people would vote but some people actually and truly do not believe in government or state of any form and I don't think people should legally be obliged to vote against their principles.
also people may honestly have strong reasons for not voting for candidates that are fielded in their constituencies.
it kind of stops being a democracy if people are legally compelled to vote against their wishes.
or at least thats my take.
I agree about all that has been done to get us a vote and hope that many people will but if you fundamentally disagree you shouldn't be legally compelled on the basis of actions that people took of their own free will in previous generations.
