    Thanks everyone i just felt like i needed to be open with everyone on here. I maybe young but as my grandad said to me i have a wise old head on my shoulders and plenty of life experience. I havent and never will look for sympathy on my issues or use them as an excuse I use them to drive me on to suceed. Nothing's gonna stop me now as the lyrics go.

    Baby moo - In an ideal world, i favour the green party. In this world, it's labour for me but i voted lib dem as a tactical vote to stop the tories getting in locally and green/labour would've been a wasted vote. All i put on facebook was 'green party' and i lost 4 'friends'.
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

    I kind of live by the motto

    what does not kill us makes us stronger.

    I have not been through half of what you have hhh, but I have not had an easy ride either. It's how you look at life that dictates if you survive or not.

    My DD is desperate to stay up and watch the election with me and I have let her stay up for the first result, but she started snoring on the sofa and then did a mahoooosive twitch. That has woken her up, but I can see her not making it - hurry up Sunderland LOL.

    ETA She has given up and gone to bed!

    Munchki - remind me what the sewing machine is again. I'll put another request onto Freecycle and I can bring it down with me if I get one. I might put a request on for a whole sewing machine actually - what sort do you need, does it have to do fancy stitches or will a straight up and down do (can you tell I know nothing about sewing machines??? :))

    PaulaB, sorry to hear you aren't doing well on your diet. Are you just doing it yourself online, or are you going to meetings too? I think it is only the fact that I'm getting weighed in front of other people that is keeping me on it. Would it help if you did a tracker on here each day to say what you are going to be eating and how many points you will have? I'm thinking it might work like the commitments board - once you have written it down it will help you to stick to it. Obviously it might be something more than that that is putting you off dieting, in which case I don't want to make you feel worse.

    I managed to lose 1lb again this week, so I'm really pleased, especially with the party and hangover day last week. I've been salsa dancing again tonight and am just enjoying a WW pizza and a strawberry cheesecake. Yummy!!

    Going to think about my mini challenge now - I have one more day off work so would like to make the most of it, and the challenge would fit in well with it.
