Hi everyone.........WOW just spent the past hour or so reading up on all the political views. I am impressed to say the least, and more impressed to see how everyone has each their own strong beliefs and yet the utmost respect for everyone else's views. You all have no idea on how hard it is for me to not be able to vote in this election. Having been here now for 10 years it just seems strange as I love this country so much and yes, I suppose that sounds strange to some of you in its own right!

Sorry I have been MIA the past few nights, been doing a lot of thinking, sorting, and trying to figure out exactly what it is I want for me now. This is not something I find easy to do as I am very much the giver type and finding the motivation or determination to concentrate on my own needs instead of wanting to save the rest of the world is very difficult for me.

I do know that I want to get the business up and running, but I also know that I am going to need some help as I obviously am much better at helping other businesses out rather than myself. Perhaps it is because it is on my own home turf so to speak. I really need help and advice on SEO, PR and Marketing, they are the two big areas for right now. I have the strong skill set to do the work but first need to get the clients. I can honestly say my current site is rubbish, well at least in my eyes it is. My goal however is by the end of the year working solely for myself! It will happen!!

I also plan on working on quillows, a few at a time, of course once I either get the cable I need for the machine or a new machine. LOL

Tonight I went out and used the voucher the council gave me for redecorating the flat and spent £92.85 on paint and bits to do the painting. The voucher was for £91.50 so that was not too bad. Have a friend coming up who is going to paint the entire flat while I am at work. How cool is that?

I also know that I need to start putting me first, or at least thinking about my own needs, something again, I am not very good at.

Anyway, I have obviously been doing a lot of thinking and planning and counting my blessings for all the bad that has happened in my life over the past 16 months, I have come out the other end, stronger, happier, more content, and more my old self than I have ever thought possible and most importantly truely blessed for having each and everyone of you in my life now.

HHH, omg, how are you not being offered counselling? Aren't there any local places that can offer you help? Have you tried speaking to someone like the Samaritans who might be able to put you onto something useful?

Mabel, you might find they just say do you still need them and if you do they renew your prescription. Could be wrong, but that's what mine does :)
Jo, thank you very much, you're a star. Will PM you my address and you'd best let me send you postage or I shall be cross. You wouldn't like me when I'm cross. Grrrrr.:rotfl:

Hi munchki, yes I was enjoying the respect on here today too. Then you look at the House of Commons baying at each other like a pack of animals and wonder what you've elected :(

American friend of mine posted on FB today that she really wanted to be able to vote (has been over here 20 years and has 3 kids with her British DH). She has just posted that she has enquired about citizenship and it would cost £34 for the citizenship test and £735 for the paperwork! Ouchie!

laura16, probably during the night we'll be able to see which way it's heading, but all the results won't be in till tomorrow afternoon. They can normally predict how it's going to go by how seats change hands but I think there will be some strange results in this one, which is partly why I want to stay up and see how it goes. The 1997 result was soooo boring I went to bed as Labour had such a big landslide it wasn't interesting. I think this one will have the experts foaming at the mouth, though.

Yes, 2cats, which is precisely why I have not gone for citizenship yet! I know I will one day, but for right now it is out of reach money wise, which is a real shame.

Good luck with it mabel, can't see why they would make you come off them if you feel you need them but I don't know how other peoples' doctors work as I know they vary from what people have said on here - my friend was going on at me today to come off mine as she sees them as a bad thing. Was trying to explain to her that, for example, even if you had a lovely new puppy bouncing around, when you've got depression you look at the scene and think to yourself 'What does it matter, we're all going to die anyway, everybody hates me, I hate everybody....' but she doesn't really get it, she said 'well I suppose you have to go through it...' very unconvincingly!
Off to write some goth poetry now. Not really :) off to bed cos I'm a lightweight, will see you all tomorrow to see you think of the results! Hi Muchki by the way :):) xx xx

OK Fridays mini move for may
this is based on the premise of small steps but keep taking them.
Think about tuesdays mini move where we had to think about our ideas that were sensible to do but that we kept putting of for whatever reason. on tuesday we chose a small step that we could take towards that project idea or goal.
Fridays mini move is to build on that and take one more safe step towards that project. what is the next SMALL thing you can do to move that project that in itself will not overwhelm you.
