aaw poor things. glad the german students are getting on well though. sounds like getting them together(him and his sister I mean) might be a good idea too. does he have any friends over here with other families?

No, it's just him and his sister. I think he's really shy - i've just taken him some hot chocolate and the other laptop upstairs as he's not left his room all evening. It's hard to know whether to leave him or not.

How's your neck? Has it eased at all? That pain sounded horrid.

pain is better than it was but seems to have not got any better for last few days. just feels tense all around as well as pain and I don't seem to be able to ease it. will save up for osteopath again if doesn't improve soon as have a history of similar problems and don't want to get into a spiral again with it.
right got to go and help DD with sleep. may get on later but not sure. hope hot chocolate and laptop helps.

Ouch that sounds horrible :( hope you can get it sorted soon, it's even worse when the pain's relentless.
Hope DD gets off to sleep ok - good to chat with you, as always :) x

  • Hi everyone :)

Em, arranging for your student and his sister to meet sounds good, it must be so strange being in a different country at the same time but apart. I'm sure the laptop will cheer him up :)

Jo, I hope your shoulder gets better soon, and an osteopath seems like a good idea.

It's 17 days today. We have had another look at where we will stay for the first week, and I need to do more packing. OH had the dentist today, though, and we went food shopping which took a while due to my back being so painful. Am doing some extra local work, too, for extra money. Which is good, but stressful.

    It's quiet tonight!

Wow, go away for a few days, ok MIA is more appropriate and come back to loads of reading......hehehh

I have been reading when I can but honestly been trying to learn the fine art of relaxing as of late. Unfortunately it is NOT one of those things that I do very well at all lol Have spent some time stitching, and of course finishing other projects and generally come home shattered at night from work and rather brain drained.

Came home tonight to say I had a package that I missed, rather a puzzle really as I have not bought anything, not ordered anything and have no clue what it is or even who it is from, as cant even think of other than 2 people that have my addy that would send me anything anyway. I think it is going to be one of those unsolved mysteries as they only do deliveries during the week while I am at work and the depot is nearly 20 miles away and too difficult for me to get to lol. I just know this is really going to bug me lol

Huge huge hugs to everyone!! Also lots of Hurrays for Sulkies, Spain, Cakes, Duckies, Gardens, Holidays and all the other amazing things abound with us all

Right off to finish catching up with a couple of days reading here but I promise to be around a bit more often. Finally getting on top of the work thing so hopefully wont be quite so tired at night and have a little more energy to play lol

love and hugs to everyone, I might not have been around much the past week but there is not a single day that I do not think of the dribblers, you are all such an important part of my life
