Well thats my laptop away. Was so paranoid that the courier wasn't going to turn up.

Cats in getting neutered, trying to convince my dad to pick him up, OH has taken the car and the car seat :(. (saves my petrol hehe)

Got a waxing client at 2.30 so thats more money in the pot.

Things are going remarkably well atm, hmmmm. Stange, its very strange!

I struggled today at work and seem to have been given an extra shift so now working thurs friday and saturday. feels a bit much but maybe my neck will be more improved by then. just feels like my whole body is out of kilter and heavy. and it was a quiet day today.
may take kids swimming tomorrow and see if water helps.
Very quiet on here and smirk today. hope everyone is ok.

hi Jo, you still got problems with your neck? feel for you as it doesnt matter how you move it always seems to ache. hopefully the swimming will help loosen up whatever is wrong. Fine that you've got extra shifts but not when your feeling a bit off. Just trying to pluck up the courage to phone a customer - jeez i wish this confidence thing would stop wavering, i havent even picked up the cupcake stand from Saturdays wedding incase they didnt like the cakes! stupid i know - go from being super confident and i can do anything to being absolutely flat (think it comes from being a twin and never being my own person until i was about 19......) am supposed to be blitzing the kitchen - cant move for cakey stuff!
nikki - well done on the client another tenner nearer the 10k
nixxi - glad everything went smoothly with the courier
Saucy - hi - you started packing yet?
and everybody else = WHERE ARE YOU ALL?????

  • Skint, it's safe to say that if they didn't like the cakes they'd have told you by now! Go pick up the cake stand, it'll give you some confidence.

And remember that the customer wouldn't have approached you if they didn't like your style, and they'll be glad to hear from you!

(I'm rubbish at being motivational, sorry :o)

Jo, I hope your neck feels better soon. I hate being in pain! Enjoy swimming :)

I've got some things packed...it's 19 days today! I need to do a more serious packing attempt but as I've never been abroad, I know I'll forget something  Had dodgy physio today, woman really hurt my shoulderblades, then admitted she hadn't read my notes and thought I'd be a 'typical' drunken injury. She was really apologetic...I did think something was wrong, usually they refuse to touch me. In agony now...shoulders kill. Have a very sexy straight-jacket type contraption, and heat patches. Prrfftt. Onwards and upwards!

Work has been looking up today...I don't want to say too much yet but I'm quite happy.

    Where is everyone?

I guess skint that they probably loved them but even if they didn't its ok it doesn't mean every cake you do is carp and useless and no-one will like your cakes ever again. all it would mean was that on this occassion there was a mismatch between their ideas and yours. you could have them hate your cake and still be a fabulous cake maker and have a successful business. think of someone who you think is fabulous like an artist or a designer. I bet you don't think that just because there may have been one or 2 people who didn't like their work they are in anyway less fabulous.
your total is fantastic. out of all of us you have had right from the beginning work coming in regularly and increasing and repeat orders. maybe just due to being succesful and the bigger numbers of cakes coming in you will have the odd one that doesn't work out as well as you would have hoped. maybe if you only ever sold 3 cakes in your life you would not have to experience that. but then you wouldn't get to experience all the happiness of most of your customers and they wouldn't get the happiness that they do with your cakes too.
From what I know of you , you really want to do this and I really believe you can get past any little hiccups that come your way even if they are a bit unpleasant at the time.
