Hi Paula Jo dilli and everyone else.
I am fine thanks. The tenfoot party was great. I didn't realize that tenfoot was just a Hull word and that only Paula would know what I was talking about. We had one last year, it was a government idea to have a street party and build community spirit ect. We had such a good time we thought we would have one again this year. It started at 2pm and finished about 10. We had barbecues going and lots of games like skipping and hopscotch and we had a great game of cricket but hasd to stop when we lost all 6 tennis balls (luckily no windows were broken though)Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100 -

That's great Rosie, and how nice to get to know your neighbourslike that too - we passed by a event on the day when they did the big picnic - might be the same event? - and ended up staying for over an hour as there was a bouncy castle and people had brought too much cake an sandwiches and were happy to hand it out; kids loved it!
I'm looking for a book I read before having Georgie and want to get for my sister, it's to do with focusing on stuff like colours and squashy balls during childbirth to help you through the pain - anyone heard of it? Can't remember the name...xxI have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Yes we are lucky round here as we have good neighbours, I have been in this house since Allan came out of the army . From getting married in 1969 to leaving to Allan leaving the army in 1980 I moved 7 times so when I moved here I said that I was staying for at least 5 years and that was 30 years ago.Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100

Yes Paula its great.
Have you found the book you were looking for? I don't know the book but when my DIL was having Isabel a lady told me about a yoga mantra she had learnt. It was all to do with meditating and imagining that the birth canal was streching and you started doing it at about 7 or 8 months she managed to have a 9 lb 8oz baby with no stitches and no pain relief. Oh and there was a tea she drank as well but can.t remember what it was rose petal or something like thatJan £10 a day £326.75/£3100 -
