Lol, my kids wish they could have icecream for breakfast! Mind you, nutritionally, is it really that different from certain cereals and milk...
Meal plans are fab, it's when I've been tired or lazy and not continued with them that I've let myself down as they really do work and if you have the things in you can always be flexible and swap foods around
Can I ask a general question; do people who use their local butcher find meat to be cheaper in the long run, or just better? I went to the fruit stall yesterday and it was £6.79 for ten bananas and ten apples (although he did say he'd bought the bananas at a higher rate unfortunately) - I wouldn't have paid that at Tesco so I'm a bit gutted, obviously need to do a bit more research!I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Paula he won't be getting ice cream for breakfast after today. he got away with only ice cream yesterday and a bit of soup in the evening but as he can manage more now he knows he will have to have food with better nutrition too.lol.
we don't really do meat here but my friend gets hers from local butcher for a good price as far as I can tell.
Aldi have good deals on different fruit and veg regularly although haven't got mine from there yet.

Lol Joey- it was definately not loo roll!
Thankyou Jo - Paula, if you go to the necklace category and scroll down til you get to 'icicle' and the same in bracelets etc
Nix-does sound odd but I'd talk it over with your friend again to get details first. It is difficult, you don't want to victimise an innocent man but if something was to happen then oh I don't know! I just find it strange that he wouldn't put the photos away when he knew he had visitors.0 -
Morning all.
Thanks for all the response to my question. As far as I am aware the photos weren't photos (my fault for using that word) but actually photos cut from the newspaper in frames. It was a male agent that went round and he had no doubt who they were of, he came back to the office saying he would do all the viewings as it spooked him and he couldn't ask anyone else to go there, though he was going to ask the man to remove the photos for the viewings as he thought it might be off putting (don't know if he ever did). The house is under offer now as this was a few weeks ago. I thought it was strange but hadn't done anything about it, especially as it was 3rd hand, but yesterday realised the only house on that road for sale with that agent is next to these schools.
When I last asked my friend she said she had passed her concerns onto her boss and had left it to him, but she was sure he hadn't done any thing and she had not been to the house.
the problem is now I have been told this info, well what if (very small chance I know) something did happen...well not sure I could forgive myself if anything happened....arrrrg...ever wish you hadn't been told something!!
Anyway......
Jo it sounds as though your DS is being well looked after and getting the most out of being poorly lol! It makes it a little bit easy for him knowing he is getting some treats I bet!
Paula - next week sounds fab for your kids, fantastic idea!!
As far as butchers meat - it varies lol! I go to a farm shop and I have to say there meat is much more expensive but it does go a lot farther, and it does taste better and have a far better texture, but another butchers I have used in our village is expensive but I prefer Tesco's finest range to him. So I think if you find a good butcher it can work out the same cost. If I meal plan and buy from the farm shop, which is about a 20min drive, I can spend about £35-40 on all my meat and veg for a week, but actually it normally stretches to a week and a bit, even 2 weeks if I am careful. That is for 4 - s adults an 2 growing children, then if I am careful about only buying what I need I can just get away with popping in to our loca shop for the extras like milk etc (I won;t buy the far shop milk as it is VERY expensive!). Has that helped? not sure, I have just dribbled away and prob bored everyone!!
I keep meaning to go back to buying from the farm shop as I do save money that way, as ebcause of the cost I plan and it all then comes together......hmmm, next week maybe lol
I am shutting up now.....
Oh and Twinks hobnobs are great - been making then for years, actually not made any in a while maybe I will later!!Life is a work in progress0 -

Nixi why not ring your local station anonymously and without mentioning names or location ask if it is something they would act on if reported. I am not sure they would be able to investigate unless there was an incident being investigated as having newspaper cuttings on your wall is not in itself a crime. One of the crimes it relates to is solved and closed but the other is open so possibly they would be interested but I doubt it. but if you ask and they say they would not be able to use the information then you know where you are.
If the male viewer was going to ask him to take them down for viewings then maybe the man explained the reason for them to him? maybe your friend could ask him what happened about the pictures?
