hey all, me again lol! can you tell I have another question lol......another dillema and I would love your advice....and if I think about it I should have asked you all sooner.......

I have a friend who is an estate agent and she told me, in confidence (and her I am on a public forum lol! but I am trying to be vague!!) about a house she has refused to do viewings on because the owner, a single man (think she said 40-50's, but can't recall) has a very odd taste in framed photos. The children in his photos were children who are missing (Madeline) or have been murdered (can't recall names but the two girls murdered by the school caretaker were mentioned). At the time she told me she said the road he lived but as I didn't know any more I didn't do any more but suggested she or her boss (who had seen the house and been freaked by it) should maybe have an informal chat to the police as it was a little strange. I am pretty sure that hasn't happened, but today I think I learnt which house it is and it is virtually opposite one middle school, a and about 4 mins from another middle school too. Now if I had a friend who was in the police I WOULD be having a friendly chat to ask if I should be saying any thing but I don't/ I am not accusing this person of any thing it just is very strange........... what would you do?

A big thank you again for your last advice......Amber I am def going to look into reflexology.

I had lots of comments for everyone but seem to have forgotten them all - sorry. But please know I am reading and laughing and hugging all of you, and I do try and make sure I post when I have something useful-ish to say!!

Personally Nix, I would think very carefully before I did anything about this. There could be so many reasons other than the one that is easiest to jump to for him having these pictures. It could be that he lost a child at some point in his life and he feels it keeps their memory alive by remembering other children who died. It could be that he used to have a job related to children who disappeared, like policeman, or social worker or something similar and that he was involved in looking for them.

I know this has come from someone you know, but it could be that she is mistaken and the children just happen to look like Madeline, Holly and Jessica.

Who knows. I just think it is very dangerous to jump to conclusions based on one, admittedly strange, but possibly innocent fact. I completely understand your worries but it scares me that people's lives can be totally ruined by rumours like this that are often completely unfounded.

Hope no offence is caused by my opinion on this :o

no JOey - you are spot on which is why I wanted to ask not just do. thank you for replying.

I was told (but all 3rd hand info) that he was a single man, who had lived with his dad who had recently died which is why he as selling the house. I would not want to wreck anyone's life and I can see that it could be entirely innocent, and just strange BUT I have a friend whose daughter goes to the school and her son joins in Sep..... and it was my old school so want to do the right thing too.....hence my confusion, and wishing I had a friend who was in the police I could have a friendly chat too, I am def. not accusing him of any thing

It's a scary world we live in - so difficult to know what to do for the best most of the time!

On a slightly less serious note, I have a list of all the jobs I'd like to achieve tomorrow, and not being too tired, thought I'd start on the list before I go to bed. So I have finally started the process of changing my gas and electricity supplier, and hopefully will get £155 for my troubles, Yay!!

I got an email from Taste Radar to say I was accepted to start doing their fruit and veg surveys, and will be starting this tomorrow. And the Pinecone surveys are starting to get a bit more frequent. So I'm pretty pleased with myself tonight.

    Right, I'm off to bed.

Night Nix and anyone else who is still around.

    xx

    Nixi,
I can totally understand why you feel uncomfortable about knowing this and doing nothing. However I think I would at least chat to your friend again first. maybe she knows more now than she did then. Were all the staff at the estate agents refusing to do viewings? If not maybe the others found out stuff from the guy about the photos. Surely people going to look at the house would find it strange if it was really true.
Maybe they were his dads photos, maybe they were his dads grandchildren from a different sibling of the mans. maybe they are the mans children from a relationship that broke up.
Is the house still up for sale?
My first port of call would be your friend for an update saying you feel quite uncomfortable after what she told you and did she ever find out more or chat to police.

Babymoo I'm glad it is all good again.
DS woke up at 5.30 and couldn't get back to sleep so think I might be quite tired at work later as I only got to sleep at 1 after a bit of a restless night with him. but at least it is only 1 day and I am glad that he is feeling better as would be horible to go to work if he wasn't.
Will take my own lunch to save my £1 again today Mabel.
PS Mabel the icicle range is stunning - you must have so much patience.

Babymoo, glad you made up, isn't it horrible when you're arguing with the one person you're used to going to for support, it's like double the hurt! I hate it xx

Hi Jo! really glad DS is getting better, tonsilitis is rotten, the things you described sounded painful, so glad he's feeling a bit better but hope your day isn't too hard! Not fun having to work when you're shattered :(

Nixi, I don't know what I'd do but it's a bit odd showing people round your house and leaving stuff like that on display - so maybe they are relatives? Is she going back or does she know anyone who will? Oh and my visits from Aunty Flo hurt worse after I had DD1, when I was having her I had pains that went right down my leg and they do that now, it's not nice. Can you tell I only just read back through the posts lol! xx

Mabel, was looking forward to seeing the new jewellery but can't find it on your site? Can you point me in the right direction please? :) xx

Well I've been lazy this morning and let the kids have some hobnob biscuits for breakfast (well they are homemade, and contain oats!) - just waiting for 2 Ebay auctions to finish. I've sold a horrible top OH's sister got for DD1's birthday which is a bit bad I know but to be fair, we always ask what her kids want whereas she just buys ours stuff she likes, I can't stand her taste, and the top is far too old-looking for a 3 year-old. Also, recently everything has reeked of smoke when we've opened it, even clothes for the baby; nothing against smokers - I keep being tempted again myself atm since I had a couple while drunk - but it's like they've sat and blown smoke over it just before wrapping it up! Anyway let's be nice and stop !!!!!ing Paula :)
have also sold the last pair of platform trainers I got for £1.50 each and are at £10 currently, sadly anything I sell today will go towards the £35 I owe Ebay for selling the mobile last month! Meh. But I've got meal plans for the week done, inc. packups for going out, getting stuff out to defrost, slow cooking, etc; Mon will be a baking day with the girls; I've planned an after-school activity for each day; it's all good :) Hope everyone has a good day :) xx

-oh and MummyandPaige have you got a DS? Have got a great driving theory game you can have after my friend's finished with it, it's great, all of the qestions on my test were exactly the same ones on the practice test so was dead easy! xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
