Coffee is slowly working - still feel knackered but I can at least work out what day of the week it is.
I havent done an update on my Dribblers projects for a while (I dont think anyway) so I will do it now......
Buying and Selling Scrap - I mean Cars /Car Parts: 1 Car resold at a profit - all money left my hands quicker than I could say what I spent it on! Lets just say I have a busy weekend and hope to make more money off the back of it.
eSellerTools: This is something I am still working on the update to - it is a pain in the backside to me as one piece of code just isnt doing what it should and I have had a couple (ok 3) days off as I had other things more pressing whihc I could make progress on.
Affiliate Control System. The way the sites are constructed and built has changed dramatically in the past 24 hours. Previously they were all built as dynamic websites pulling data over a "call home" link to allow me to have one interface to deal with them all. However during the testing phase I noticed the sites were getting quite bloated in terms of page generation time and as such we (Me and OH) Took the decision to take a step back and rebuild the system so it uploads a static HTML website at a set time every night. Effectively meaning we can go from hosting 50-100 low traffic sites to the server to around 150-200 medium traffic sites per server without a significant reduction in performance to the end users.
Web Hosting: It has been decided I cant afford the £25 a month for the software license of the existing (very good!) web hosts billing software - and it has one major flaw in the fact I need to be able to import data into my accounting software and it wont let me without a huge amount of work! Therefore I have built the underlying PHP class to interact with our servers and just need to write the frontend
Therefore I can conclude - there has been a massive amount of work but not a massive amount of revenue as yet£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Sorry Mabel can't help - never used firefox.......I'd just suggest a reboot....
Hi everyone.
Right I have a plea for help - my dad had a rented council garage which he took on (I think) end of 2003/2004. In there he had an old cortina and all his panel beating tools. For various reasons I don't think he ever went back after we filled it but in January he had bill for the rent, I brought the account uptodate about a month ago for this year following a notice to quit. This was my fault as I had informed them about the stroke, they waited and then I failed to pay when I said I would. BUt I rang and paid and they told me everything was fine, but that my dad was paying VAT on his rent which he shouldn't be as he is now a council tenant so she would sort out his new payment rate etc, but she queried a credit on his account saying she would look into why it was there but suggested we should try and sort out a refund. Since then I have heard nothing.
Today I have had a call saying in actual fact the garage was taken from my dad in 2005, they sent him a 7 day notice (not that I am aware of) and changed to locks noting that there was a car in the garage. Then in 2008 they gave it to a new tenant. She had no explanation about why my dad was still being billed or what has happened to all his possessions. She had tried phoning the new tenant but the phone wasn't working so she was going to write to the new tenant to ask if the garage was empty and to confirm the garage. But they have continued to bill and take paymen t from my dad since 2005, and worse take duplicate payments for the garage since 2008. I can't tell my dad as he was very upset and shaking when he received the latest notice to quit as everything that was in there had great sentimental value - the cortina was the same as his orginal first car he repaired for himself, which he had intentions of restoring some day and all his panel beating equipment from the last 40 years - it was a VERY full garage. I really don't know what to do, or where to start trying to find out what I should be doing, if indeed there is anything I can do.... aaarg why is there always something to throw a spanner in the works?????Life is a work in progress0 -

Nixi - I dont know what to say - that is awful!
I would definately get onto them as surely if the rent has been paid then they have unlawfully leased it to someone else? I am not an expert on these things but its got to be worth a shot.£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Thanks NLID. It is just all really strange and all because one department deals with payments and another deals with renting the garages out..... they are being really helpful at the moment and are struggling to work out what has happened....and I am happy they are doing what they can, I just don't want to end up being ripped off. Surely they should have picked this up along long time ago????Life is a work in progress0

nixi i know it doesnt help that your dads stuff may be all gone which you will be expecting if someone else is using garage .Do you think your dad would be fit again in the forseeable future to sort car or use tools ,if not then the heartbreak of selling up his stuff is gone and the council will have to compensate plus reimburse with interest which might allow you to buy him something that he requires now for the flat or take him on holiday ect every cloud and all that just make sure you persue it and get all compensation due.So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0

Thanks Elly. You are right, reality it is probably a relief that all the stuff has gone for me but my dad would be devastated and very angry. They are telling me it isn't there fault as they sent him a 7 day notice in 2005 - so there is no comeback for loss of his property, obviously that is just there point of view but I don't know where to find out if they do have any responsibility....... after all my dad has believed that for the last 5 years his property was safe in storage which he was paying for...and they continued billing him for.Life is a work in progress0
